When I try to play my music on the psp, it sometimes gives me an error message "this music cannot be played. (8010960A)". It's pretty random, up to the point that it can not appear at all, even on the tracks it appeared before, but still annoying. All my tracks are in one folder (MUSIC), and all of them are mp3-s @128kb/s. how can i stop the error thing?

Copy everything off your memory card and then format and paste everything back on.

Radical. I however went for a more subtle approach - reverted the setting back to default. Seems to be working. For now.

Last night I watched as two of my songs CORRUPTED after playing normally (and finishing).  Any explanation?  (Music has corrupted on my PSP before, too.)

I'm not sure why, but my PSP (phat) does that every now and then on certain songs.
The weirder thing is, that when a copy of that same song is played on my PS3, the PS3 corrupts the song as well after 1 play.
WEIRD!

Yeah, as someone mentioned, it's back.. But I got what causes it. At least I think I do... Can it be the headphones? Because this error occured only when I put the PSP in it's case (the headphones jack didn't exactly fit, so it's stuck out a bit) and put it in my pocket - I guess the headphones jack got crooked or something, because if I didn't close the case all the way (or rather left the jack some space) everything worked like a charm. And that's why the problem went away the first time - the psp was on my table - no "pressure" on the headphones... God, I talk a lot...

I couldn't be your headphones...because if you remove the memory stick or reboot the PSP, that "Corrupted" music file usually returns to normal. This happens on both the PS3 and the PSP Phat. Haven't experieced it on the slim yet.

Yeah, but if I restart the song right where it gave me the error, it continues fine, without rebooting or taking out the MemCard. The next error message might appear - it might not. It's not like it's the same tracks - different tracks everytime, at different places. And the fact that I could replay the "corrupted" tracks no problem after what I did in the previous massage...

Well, what do you know? You were right, the songs play normally again. Even bigger WTF. (Still reformating the stick.)
