So, i really enjoy having my music on my psp and since i have 16g I'm trying to fill it up... The big problem is the sorting. It seems as if the songs from diffren't bands/albums are in random places and arent organized at all, is there something im missing here or this naturally how it is?? I was thinking about using my PSP as a mp3 but with no sorting whatsoever and random songs in random places it's not a good mp3.... And if im not missing something as in i can fix it, im really dissapointed that this isn't goign to be the PSP i thought it was going to be :( ....

If anyone knows how you can sort or maybe even create folders for bands plase let me know thanks :D

Yup, thought so, you have no arguments to support your statement...

ipod = better battery life, made specifically as a media player, better sound quality, automatically sorts out your music, makes playlists and stuff (although the psp can do this too? i'm not too sure on this one). on models like the ipod touch it has a higher resolution good for watching movies.

the psp is primarily a gaming device, and it excels at it, but as a media player, it can only go up to 16gb because that is the largest sized memory card whereas an ipod can go up to 120gb. the psp is also rather bulky and takes up quite a lot of space when compared to a much smaller and slimmer ipod and won't fit as easily into your pocket along with your cell phone etc.

i mean really, just the fact that the ipod was made specifically as a media player and still has by far the largest market share must mean that apple is doing something right. and i don't think being worse than the secondary function of a competitor's product is it (aka, being worse than the psp at multimedia functionality, which isn't even the psp's top priority). just ask yourself. if you wanted to take a media player with you on the road, why would you take the psp? specifically as a media player, its nothing. now if you were to put gaming into the equation, then obviously the psp might win, but purely as a media player, the psp is nothing special.

heres your argument, although i dont even think it was a question up for debate. Psp for gaming, ipod for music, each has their own specific function. Even though the psp has other functions it doesnt mean its the best for using them.

better battery life : wow big deal

psp can make playlists

easily fit in pocket along with cell phone etc. im sure a cell phone and ipod take up more space then a psp ( wich is also a phone)

because its made specifically as a media player and has more market: so i guess the wii is better then 360/ps3 because its built specifically for gaming has a bigger market. lol

as far as i can see there is no reason the ipod is a better media player then psp. and its worse value, if youre going to get a media player just for media player i would say zune is slightly better then the ipod. but were not really talking about that. i mean youre defending a guy who said just get an ipod. and ther guy wants both gaming and media. so its kind of useless making an argument just about the media player.its obvious he wanted it for gaming too.

"and ther guy wants both gaming and media. so its kind of useless making an argument just about the media player. "

"Please tell me ONE reason why a ipod would be better then the psp's media player?"

I'm sorry but thats what the guy asked for. He didn't say he wanted both gaming and media. He just asked to give a reason why the ipod is better than the psp, purely as a media player. And purely as a media player, the ipod comes on top. But obviously if you were to include gaming then how could the psp lose?

Also please don't refute my claims on battery life and form factor. Battery life is a huge deal. Its one of the most important things to look at when buying electronics. Why else is battery life included as part of any review of any electronic product you find. And come on, the ipod is smaller than the psp, end of story. Ipod+cell phone might be bigger than a psp, but psp+cell phone is EVEN bigger. I have no idea what point you were trying to make there so lets leave it at that.

lastly *facepalm. The psp is not a phone. That skype thing needs internet acess. Not the same as any conventional cell phone.

You can buy bigger battery's Sound quailty? Im preety sure thats up to the quailty of the music you uploaded (correct me if im wrong) unless your talking about speakers

You can sort the PSP's music by hand, much easier then going though itunes and thier entire hassle Ipod touch dose have a bigger resolution, but not by much PSP : 480x272 Ipod touch: 480x320 , but it beats out nano 16g IMO is all you need for your music and vidoes adn 120gb is too much...

And theres a reason why you have 2 pockets 1 for cell phone and one for PSP? And purses can hold a lot of your a girl..

I think i might of shot down your points :D And Itunes is just bad to deal with, one more reason why its more equall...

Also the PSP is generally the same siaze as a ipod touch or classic whic im 100% postive people carry around with thier cellphones still...

Exactly. I have had both and PSP is just not up to par, and it doesn't fit in you're pocket like an iPod. All around an iPod is a better music player and iTunes is great if you actually buy music.
