is it possible to listen to music (from the HDD, iPod etc.) while playing a game? so far i haven't been able to leave the music player with the music still on.

Listen to your iPod and play the console at the same time... or get a stereo. Or as ive got my computer next to my tv and PS3 I have my speakers either side of my tv and just play music through them.
