Hi guys, i was playing some MW2 last night and every game i played, all i heard every 30 seconds was "enemy UAV" etc. plus i had a few suspicious players. Does anyone know if there is still hacks/mods floating around? and if so, how are they still bypassing the firmware update and the latest MW2 patch? My mate told me you could apparently bypass it by loading up Resistance then ejecting the disc the loading mw2 and save the game data but not sure how credible that sounds
Yes, these hacks are done on already hacked PS3's, there is no need for PSN access to play MW2 online as "tools" have been created to bypass PSN authentication and access the servers directly so yes you'll still see hacks and no amount of PS3 updates will stop them. We aren't allowed to discuss hacking on here especially posting the routine required to make it happen :P So simply yes hacking still happens in MW2 and it will be here forever, IW have abandoned the servers they don't care anymore, infact they were thinking of shutting them down because they have such little control over the hacking now.
Cheers for the heads up dude. Probably wouldnt be a bad idea shutting the servers down. but they are not dedicated are they? so they might have a few problems
