Big updates come from developers who care about their fanbase and their game (Valve and Bungie come to mind off hand)

New maps, definitely. They need to make money off of the not-so-bright fanbase that will buy the maps even though every map is terrible. There's no sign that the maps will actually be good but that won't stop millions of people from buying it.

Double XP? Why would they. People would get to prestige 10 quicker and realize the game is utter garbage. The only thing that keeps people playing is unlockables and prestiging.

I think I remember hearing something about them releasing some COD4 maps like the fan favorites or something but I'm sure if it ever happened you'll be paying for them.
