mw games are known for that, and for w.e reason it always picks the person with the crappiest connection, since its P2P. which it sucks. but not always its laggy, some games actually are decent, but other times man i just want to call activision and just cuss them out

yea but, this was never a problem for me in all the other cod games. i can't enjoy mw3 if i'm always lagging >:/ would a patch do be able to improve the lag?

I remember on black ops if you had alot of friends it made you lag...they fixed it after a couple of weeks...not sure if thatd help or is even the source of the problem for you though

I wish they would stop being cheap with this P2P crap. I was playing yesterday and I would get severe lag randomly while running around or shooting and end up in a completely different room after the lag subsided. Doesn't happen all the time, but when it does......
the worse lag I've ever come across... I put 20 bullets in his chest .. he still kills me with a pistol in 2 shots ...I hope they fix it soon...I also played it on my brothers xbox 360 and its the same...some matches are good but not up to the mark...MW2 was balanced and BO was a little laggy .. but this is getting on my nervs... I have 8 Mbit connection and my ping rate in my country is 40-50 ms which is decent to play around with ppl any where in the world.
But I'd see ppl from Japan and Koreaalways killing the crap out of every 1...I guess they use a very strong connection :P
I just laugh it off as someone out there still using a 56K modem and AOL.

Until everyone starts getting onto a similar standard for speeds (some folks have 1g up and down, others have 25), you're always going to be at the mercy of the worst connection speed in the lobby. I see some lag on MW3 at times, but for the most part (a good 85%-90% of the games), it runs like a champ for me and is one of my least-important complaints about the game. The chat sound and no music options (like being able to turn it OFF :evil: ) are a bigger deal in my enjoyment of the MP. If I see persistant lag, I simply switch to a new lobby and the problem goes away.
But for-reals - Who doesn't put an option in to turn off menu music in this day & age? That's just idiotic.
does anyone else lag a lot while playing online in mw3? i wanna know. it's such an inconvenience

U are not alone, I have suffered lag andhiccup issues in the game. I even started to think it maybe my cd. I checked the connection and works perfectly with all games and I got all bars green. I even though it maybe the host, bnut no matter how many times I switched lobbies I had similar problems.
Appearntly there is a patch coming to address the issue.
I just laugh it off as someone out there still using a 56K modem and AOL.

They should have added the Auto mute feature like Crysis 2. Press Triangle and mute everyone except ur party. I hate going up and down the list to keep muting people.
