well dont buy a new one, send it in sony and pay 150 instead of another 300 to 400 bucks, i think its worth itJoKeR_421
this man speaks the truth. They'll send you back the same model you sent in, so you're in luck. You can find the number for support in the support section of the website.
Sorry to hear that bud. I hate to hear this happening to somebody. :(
I too have a 60GB and love the hell out of it.
Hope you get it fixed/replaced soon so we can have you back in Playstationland. Good luck !
you dont pay to have it fixed you pay to get another ps3 that has already broke and they fix that one

I agree. If my 60GB dies on me I'll pay to get it repaired, rather than getting one of the newer models.
well its a sad day, but now i have to move on i was wondering should i just go out and get the 80gb or wait for the 160gb out in Nov. Question is what is the difference if any i know the 160 gb you get a ds39already have one) and uncharted which i also have. But does the 160 gb have bc or is that out of the?POPEYE1716
well maybe you should see if sony can fix it first if not then try to invest in a 160 gig when it is released but it's only gonna be limited release.
I was wondering, what happens if a PS3 with BC dies, does Sony give u another 1 with BC or are you screwd?EVOLV3
They have to give you what you paid for. They will repair your system, and if it's beyond repair they will send you a 60GB that they have set aside for such circumstances.

Yah, Don't buy a new one. Do what they said ^^
By far the 60gig is the best sku so I think a repair and not a replacement is the best option.
