So for those who have beaten then end of GoWII you see the Titans climbing mount Olympus after you have already killed one god, Athena. Trying to gain revenge on the gods and gain his freedom like they promised.

For those of you have beaten GoW:CoO at the end once you killed another god and chain Atlas to hold the world up (goes against all Greek mythology by the way) he tells you that you will regret what you have done. then the credits roll and there is another short video of Kratos falling after bring back the sun to the heavens, the narrator says maybe this is more then one mortal can withstand and at the last moment he is stopped before crashing into the ground, where you see the feet of two gods, one is for sure Athena the other probably his father Zeus, they want to help him but they know they shouldn't because he will live. Thus leaving you basically where the first GoW took place.

Alright with all that settled, my predictions are that GoWIII are that as it starts off with you and the titans climbing mount Olympus as you get to the top the titans and gods wage war as you travel through out mount Olympus, fighting your way through never before seen challenges, no longer Cyclops, the undead, wraiths, harpies, nymphs, minotaur, sirens, etc

You will now be faced with some of the most famous Greek mythological characters, the demi-gods! Such as Hercules, Theseus, Dardanus, etc there are a lot! These could all be potential boss battles that would extremely challenge Kratos abilities, fuel his rage and gives him the strength and knowledge to finish of the gods.

Then you come to the final battle, Kratos meets his father once more Zeus the only god left standing, he talks to you before the fight and explains what you and the titans have done, and to rid him of his past he must help Zeus destroy the titans for good, Zeus gives Kratos back the ability and status as the God of War and together Kratos and Zeus finish of the titans.

Now that is done, Kratos demands to be freed. Zeus grants Kratos his wish and is freed from his loyalty to the gods and his past. Zeus forgets Kratos still possesses the status as the God of War and Kratos kills Zeus immediately. He does this to end all the corruption and pain he has experienced first hand from the gods, and is left as the only remaining god.

Then after the credits roll the narrator comes back to explain Kratos through out his many journey learned many lessons and found his true self, gaining his life and bringing back the ones he loved his daughter and wife, but now what remains of the only god, Kratos to live forever.

So this would give the series something that is based on what makes the first 2 GoW games so great, that builds upon it, for this next generation on the PS3. Whole new look and feel, new weapons, new enemies, new bosses, a massive scale, and one of the greatest endings to a video game ever!

So what do you think?

Holy s*** i forgot about him, well how could they work him in?

Really i dont know how they could put him in there maybe he convinces the titans to turn on Kratos, thats why Kratos helps Zeus defeat the titans, and Kratos confronts his brother, and then kills him.

there we wroked him him in. best idea i could come up with.

for those who might be skeptical, i want this game to be like 20 hous long! With multiple huge Boss battles! and with some amzing adventures all throughout Mount Olypmus. This needs to be on the most EPIC scale! Then the ending pust just be absolutely ridiculous so amzing and huge something that could do justice to waht it would be like if all the Titans, Gods, and creatures of Greek Mythology jsut died. It could be the greatest and most Epic game of all time!

I know they could do this, and i would wait until holiday season 2009 if they would make GoWIII this huge! it will probably be the last GoW game they need soemthign new and fresh but still use the same platform that bade the past games so great.

god i am excited for this game and hopefully some big news about it will be at E3

Well according to the developers, the God Of War series is supposed to explain why there aren't any Greek myths anymore. Therefore I expect God Of War III to be pretty epic in scale. A huge battle with Kratos and the titans laying waste to the gods of Olympus should definitely be in.

Ya the last two games were on a massive scale and very epic, but with PS3 i want to see this on an even larger scale... Especially because a lot of people are going to be playing on big HD displays this time. Maybe some 1080p and 60 fps??? Well, if they do make GOW3 native 1080p, I hope they can afford to do it without sacrificing theframe rate, the amount of action going on screen, or any other graphical qualities. I'm expecting some insane epic scenery and for this to be one of the best looking of this generation...

At the end of GoW2, after the Zeus fight, Kratos truely hates Zeus because he blames him for all his past and for "making" him kill Athena. First off, Zeus has no ability over Kratos anymore, at all. Kratos has all the power he had obtained from the gods in GoW1 because he has the Blade of Olympus. Plus he has all the power he gained from GoW2. Kratos is beyond the gods. While I know it's been talked about a lot him fighting enemies such as Hercules and such, but if you compare that power to a gods in Greek mythology, there really shouldn't be any type of fight other than gods and titans where he has any real trouble.

What I'm getting at:

-Kratos will either have to lose his power again, which I think is getting a little old and hope they don't go this route.

-They will base a huge portion of the game in Olympus and you fight many of the gods, which would really be pretty cool. They could have fights where you fight 2 gods at a time or something, since many of them wouldn't be much of a challenge to someone that pretty handily kicked the crap out of Zeus. Not to mention, this route could go many places considering how many gods there are to use. Imagine a GoW game where most of the enemies are gods, and therefor at least classifiable as mini-gods.

-The last option that I can see is after the attack on Olympus and it's destroyed (not necessarily killing any of the gods), the titans try and take the throne and want Kratos to either work for them, somehow banish him or anything along those lines that would piss Kratos off. So GoW3 could be about Kratos vs. the titans. Again, quite a few of them to choose from and there could be quite a few boss battles that would be done in parts, since, well, Kratos is the size of a normal person and they are the size of a mountain.

Anyway, those are the three scenarios (generically) of what I see happening. Maybe your (TC) idea will happen as well, I'm not sure. However, I would hope they wouldn't make the main battle against Zeus again, especially when there is a new path that takes the series to a grander scale (fighting titans, can't get much grander than that). They could even combine the second and third options I listed, with the 2nd option as the first part of the game, then move on to the 2nd part of the game against the titans. I do, however, of course believe that Kratos's brother and the storyline of Zeus as Kratos's father will be played on.

MyzeDivine

you gave me an idea!

Yes you fight through mount olypmus and their gods and their godly puzzles! You finish some off but the main ones are left fighting the titans, the titans take control and turn on you banish you to the control of the underworl, Kratos hates this fate rebels against him destroys the gods, Zeus becomes afraid of Kratos taking complete control, No that Kratos has has the power of the gods and the titans the strenght and experience fighting the titans and gods. So Zeus gives all the power and knowledge of the gods and mount olypmus to Kratos' brother, Kratos brother uses the one weapon and his new found abilities to fight Kratos. Kratos doesnt want to fight his brother because he knows nothign cant stop him now and he will destroy everything. So Kratos and his brother dual it out on a epic scale both increased to god and titan size! With Kratos' brother weilding the one weapon to end it all, Kratos eventually beats his brother uses the crazy Mount Olypmus weapon to destroy everything including himself. But his sacrfice leaves him a mortal and finally with his family.

how di he get his family back, remember the titans win and banish him to controlling the underworld well with that status he brings his family back to life, then goes to his business.

actually this is my best idea mixed with some of my ideas and you ideas MyzeDivin!

Ares was his brother on his dad side but im pretty sure when they refer to his brother there refering to a brother that he shares the same mother with. If your go by what your saying Kratos has a bunch of brothers and sisters like Hercules and so on.

I mean of coarse Ares is a fictional Greek God(well all are fictional, but you get what I mean) And it could be quite possible that Ares and Kratos shared the same mother...I mean we don't know how long Ares was in power... we don't know what Kratos brother did over the years all we know is that they were seperated and his brother hates Kratos for that... Now to me the best way to get back at him would be to make Kratos kill his own family, but hey it is all speculation.

Oh and to the TC who said Kratos will help Zeus kill off the Titans and then trick Zeus... I dont think Kratos will do that. It seems that the GOW creators have done a good job in making the GODs the Bad guys and the Titans the Good Guys and making us Pity them.

Now on the other hand i do beleive that the Titans will be killed somehow also... maybe the Gods will kill them... thus leaving Kratos against all the the remaining Gods... which he kills and becomes the reason why we no longer tell tales of greek Myths.

but hey that is just my thoughts

yeah the brother that was unlocked and mention at the end of GoW1, most fans probably want something new to spice it up something Kratos can really get emotional about.

i mean why not it would be a good addition to the franchise!

i really think that that was just an idea that they were throwing out there. im pretty sure that it isnt official that we are gonna see a brother in GoW3. I dont see how they could fit him in the game, in a way that would really make sense.

Kratos and Ares could not share the same mother, Ares is a natural god born form to gods, Kratos is like Hercules father is Zeus a god, and their mother some random women, one of many, Zeus impregnates! But maybe Kratos brother could be his twin, not necessarily identical.

Not to doubt you or anything cause I really don't know myself but when did they say Ares is a natural God. I don't remember that in GOW at all.

Ok all this time I thought Ares was a fictional GOD in Greek Mythology... Cause thats what the reviewer of the first GOW on gamespot said... I just looked Ares up and I see now that he is a "real" greek God... Ok my idea is invalid now ok cool thanx man. And thank you Gamespot for once again helping me in the wrong direction lol

[QUOTE="robert48213"]and like i say in my first post what about kratos brother?freediro

Holy s*** i forgot about him, well how could they work him in?

Really i dont know how they could put him in there maybe he convinces the titans to turn on Kratos, thats why Kratos helps Zeus defeat the titans, and Kratos confronts his brother, and then kills him.

there we wroked him him in. best idea i could come up with.

at the end of GoW they explain Kratos has a brother who really hates him, for whatever reason which isnt really explained, he is an unlockable character i beleive. So some of us wish and think it would be awesome if Krato's brother was incoparated into GoWIII

dont worry baller72 i am currently a history major with emphasis on Ancient Greece and Rome, so i can lay down some hefty Greek myth if you want.

Most of the time i really hate when games or movie f-up history, but GoW was the first tiem i actually didnt care, GoWII is my most favorite game of all time! yeah GoW is really historically inacurrate when it comes to the Greek myths which isnt real also! or is it and the creators of GoW series knows something we dont! lol

I AM HERE. How dare you approach the GOD of War and Me BALLER of Gamespot like this. I hope you know that Chuck Norris is just another name for the GOD OF WAR, which mortals may not call him hence Al Pacino.

If you dont beleive me let me tell what happened when me and Al-pacino went to a dinner meeting with the Patriots:

Me: Man I can't wait to meet these guys they have really giving me trouble in the past.

Pacino: Dont worry Baller of Gamespot these are real good guys. I went to college with a few of them.

(we walk into the room)

Patriot 1: Hey look guys its the God Of War chuck Nor..

(he is slapped by Pacino)

Patriot 1: why did you slap me?

Pacino: because you may never say my real name you must call me al Pacino or the God of War.

You see sahn thats how we role. The God of War and The Baller of Gamespot run dis piece. Get ya mind right kid. Or you will get slapped

WOW! that was a good laugh but, lets get back on topic.

wasnt there a rumor that they might push God of War into present time or the future? does anyone else remember this or am i confusing this with another game.

Anyways after GoWIII could they ever make more GoW games or possible spinoffs, or should they just end it with an epic GoWIII?

I am pretty sure they will have just one more game in the GOW series... if anything they will have prequels on the PSP.
