ok, so recently my trusty old logitech headset from SOCOM III started messing up, so I went to the store and bought this new gigaware headset at radioshack because no stores near me have the logitech one I guess. Anyways, my issue is that whenever I try to play it the volume on the headset is up so loud that I can put it around my neck and still be able to understand the louder people. I've turned the volume all the way down on my audio device settings, and on games that have a headset volume option (RSV2) I turned that all the way down and the volume on the headset itself doesn't seem to work.. Does anyone know some other way I can turn the volume down? That would help me out a lot, thanks :)

It should have volume control on it, look at it closely. Well mine does anyway, hope it helps.

I'm having the exact same problem with mine. The headset has a volume control on it, but it doesn't make ay difference whatsoever.

I recently bought one of the Special forces headsets with the Throat mic , same problem super good sound but sounds like people were yelling in my ear . I went to the drug store and bought a $1.99 pack of foam ear plugs (HEAROS) If you look in the ear piece " depending on design " . Mine had a small wire mesh which a popped out using a small instrument then I pushed a piece of one of the foam earplugs I had cut off into the canal and packed it tightly so it wouldn't come out on it's own . Then took a sharp blade and cut excess hanging out , replaced the rubber gasket that fits over that (rubber or silicone pieces that fits over most ear buds and conforms to the ear canal ) It muffles it just enough where you can still hear clearly without sounding like people are yelling . $1.99 and 5-10 mins McGyver style ! If you don't know who McGyver is look it up .(80's tv show where I learned to stop a acid leak in a 600 gallon vat of acid with a Hershey bar wrapper and a piece of juicy fruit . And the value of a roll of duct tape . :D

I just purchased my PS3 headset today and while I can adjust volume level, the lowest possible level is still way too loud. I cannot find it in the XMB where to adjust the volume as suggested and I believe I looked everywhere.

Please help?

Most individual games have the option to control voice chat audio output as well as the system settings.

You might want to create a new topic for this instead of ressing this one. Anyway try to look for a volume button on the hardware itself, maybe that's your problem.
