I wish the game feature some more characters. I feel like 2D fighting games should at least have 15-20 characters to mess around and master, plus more variety in online match making. Hopefully (which I highly doubt) there will be some add on characters of sort. Other then that, its a very solid fighter that I am enjoying at the moment.

I've never played Blazblue yet. But as a fan of 2D fighters, I would say there should be at least 35 ~ 50 characters. Those "Capcom vs" games were great for that (well two of them anyways).

I think we're way past the era of limitations with 2D fighting games. There really is no reason why any 2D fighting game today would have 6 ~ 12 characters imo

Well, if there's a real exception to the rule. If they were done really well, have great personalities and a purpose. An actual story. Then I would agree with that.

More than that personally, its how they all play so differently without making the game feel too unbalanced, that doesn't leave me wanting more characters.

The thing is in Blazblue all 12 characters play extremely differently. Where as in other 2d games, for example SFIV theres about 4-5 characters which play almost identically, and other characters which play similarly to other characters. Mastering all 12 of those characters in BlazBlue imo would be a far greater achievement than mastering all the characters in SFIV.

I guess u can say I like more of good things, I was jus hoping for at least 3 more hidden characters or something of sorts. But since this is like the Virtua Fighter of 2D fighting games I could look past that gripe because the gameplay and balance is so well. I agree that something u do not see often in a fighting game.

i honestly wouldn't mind having extra characters, or atleast a feature where you can custom colour your character.

The balance is pretty good and the characters are all different enough to not need other characters. The only other character that would be welcomed is maybe Terumi...cause hes so evil.

In terms of gameplay, the number of character is actually overwhelming. The strategy and tactic to battle against each character takes a long time to learn due to the vastly different styIe each character has, and various options all the characters have.

But in terms of visuals, art, and styIe it might be difficult to find a character that fits to your taste. I easily found one with Litchi, but finding second character has been fairly tough.

You guys all did a brilliant job explaining it. There is no need for me here.

I will leave this picture of Noel, however. Use it wisely.

I think the characters covered a lot of variety already. You've got projectile users, samurai dudes, cyborg, and weather-controlling witch. Thats already a lot of gameplay variations if you ask me. But more would always be good. :)
