i just played tekken dr and i shut off the ps3 then later i came back and turn it on there was no picture and u can not feel any air out the vents but the light is green. damn i can not play the darkness now =(
try it on a different outlet. if that doesnt work, a different tv in a different room. if you cant get it to turn on, call up sony and when your off go cry
Your resolution may have changed somehow. Hold down the power button on the front. It should reset your resolution. If this doesn't work, make sure your video cable is plugged in. ;)

Hmmm, maybe the component cable isn't in all the way, at least, that's what happened to me when I first installed my PS3. I was flipping out.Rhaxdric
there pushed in and may i repeat i can not feel any air out the ps3 and the fan is not making anysound its just a green light nothing else and the beeping sound u hear when u push the power on

It sounds more like a problem with your TV or imputs. I mean it bepps and all, and I don't think the fan is always on. But maybe it is broken...who knows. I would turn it on, but keep ur finger on the power button until it beeps a 2nd time. That should reset the ps3 to be able to run on your TV.

i already tryed that the first beep it turns the light green then at the second beep it turns off
its not a connector issue. the fans arent comming on on the system. that to me indicates a power failure. could be the fan could be something else. could be that a failsafe triggerd,meaning if the fan doesnt turn on, neither does the system. that suxs dude. i hope it works out for you.

Won't Sony fix it for FREE for the 1st year like M$ does with the 360? If not, then yeah, you can start crying right about now. You best bet would be to do a retail swap.
Before you send it back, i remember watching some vid saying you could probably fix it by whenever turning on the PS3, take out the video cord, wait a whi-le, then put it back in.
