My PS3 Doesn't Work :'(

Whenever I turn on my PS3 the only thing that pops up is the wave. The screen is yellow and there is no XMB. After a few minutes the image will freeze too. The disk drive works fine but it won't recognize controllers.

Did anybody go through something like this? Any idea what is wrong with it? I'm not under warranty so I don't really want to send it in to SONY but if all else fails I probably will. oooo and btw its an 80GB with 4 USB ports.

Anybody else? Its been like this for a while. I've just been to busy to do anything about it or play for that matter. I'm more concerned about not having it for all the new games that are coming out.

your best bet is to call Sony,they might be able to offer a fix over the phone,before you have to send in.But even if you have to send in for repair,it's gonna be a whole lot cheaper than buying a new PS3.

try holding your power button down on the ps3 till it resets then reconfigure it to your tv you it will ask standard of high def or whatever it says...
