My PS3 has gone slow and is really annoying!

My PS3 has started to go really slow with the internet, it goes slow for a few days (like really slow, for example it takes about 10 mins to load up the PlatStation store) then all of a sudden the next day its fine and really fastthen it goes all slow again a few days later, and it repeats over and over and its really started to bug me, my wireless router is fine since when i tried my laptop over wireless it runs fine andreally fast, can anybody think of thats happeneing?

P.S. I ran a speed check on my computer and these are my results: Download: 18.65 mb/s . Upload: 730 kb/s

That's really odd. But then again, I haven't used my PS3 browser in over a year lol.

Try clearing your cache,browser history,cookies,authentication etc when you go into your browser next,it may help

Yeah, i remember trying that and it didnt help, its also things like VidZone and when im downloading things that go extremely slow when my PS3 messes around :P. Sometimes it can take around 7 hours to download a 1GB file even though my DL/UL speeds are really good! Arr its so annoying! Do you think my PS3 wireless thing may be faulty?

Yeah ill try that soon, if the wired connection works fine do you think it would be the PS3's wireless then?

ahh i see, i may have to get mine wired cause it messes me around too much :P. If it works fine wired are there any certain ethernet cables that are good/bad or are they all very similar considering speed etc?

******-catorgory 5E seems just fine on my set up,but any shop bought cable should do the trick.

TC when did start happening? was it recently like last week?

Mine is being really slow at the moment as well, its like everything is lagging when its loading, Home takes me a good 5 mins now, it took me 30 secs before, games/movies take a lot longer to load from XMB, but its fine within the game. Ive tried wired/wireless aswell, but everything I do in regards to thenetwork, it just takes ages, even the "what's-new" takes ages to load.

Try resetting your PS3 to factory settings. Or it could be your internet.
