It happened the first time while playing MGS4, i played like a half hour and then it freezed on a black screen just after pressing the Start button so i restarted my PS3 and i beggin playing MGS4 again, this time it frozed while i was playing the game and a Icon appeared on the top right corner of the screen showing an interrogation sign and a Disc ( classic MGS not reading disc error i beleive) and it happened the same with Assassins creed, iknow that assassins creed has some freezing problems and it happened to me a few times before i restarted my PS3 and happened the same 4 times while playing MGS4 and it also happened to me on the "Selec User" menu screen of the PS3. Then i leaved my PS3 playing some music from the hard drive and nothing happened. So i suposed that the Lens has something wrong. What do you think i should do, i live in Bolivia so im pretty screwed, Maybe restoring the system works i dont know please help me BTW its the 80GB MGS4 Bundle PS3 and it has only 3 weeks old :(.
Yes, backup your files and try system restore..................OR first try re-installing the Act your currently playing on MGS, if don't work, call your Ghostbusters.
I've had some games start acting crazy usually shortly before a firmware update and after the update it worked perfectly. Most of the time these problems are software related and not hardware related (just not all the time).
Holy s*** the only thing that is left to do is System restore :cry: if that doesn't work im f****** screwed, all the efforts that my family and i did to get this freaking console jesus christ please all PS3 owners cross your fingers help with your energy ( i dont believe to much in those things but what a hell) i'll do the system restore tomorrow c ya all thanks for your support, Keep posting if you have any other ideas.

I noticed my system only freezes when I have a peripherial plugged in or when I am recharging a control. Once I unplug everything I dont have any problems. Hope that helps.
im screwed guys just totally screwed today i woke up and my PS3 is worse than it was yesterday, Now when i turn on the console , only stays on for about 20 min and then automaticly stops, the red light keeps blinking and i read in the manual that this is a problem of over heating but this cant be my house right now is at 15 Deggres celcious and my PS3 is in an open space and the worst thing is that happened to me while i was Restoring the system so know everything is corrupted and theres nothing more to do thanks for posting see ya all in a long time :cry:
