My PS3 Slim freeze alot lately...

I'm starting to think my ps3 slim will die soon as well. (I have a old ps3 that dies 2 times...)

Lately, the system freeze 2-3 times a week at a start of any game on the HDD. The screen is black and it freeze hard. I have to puch the reset button and wait 30 second while pushing the button for the system to finally stop after that.

When I restart my ps3 its fine for the night after this but since 2 weeks, my ps3 freeze like that like 4-5 time and I know its not normal at all.

Do you have a problem like that with your ps3? I'm tired of not reliable systems, I cant buy a third ps3...

I have never had any problems like that with my PS3. (I have the fat 80GB model non backwards)

Call Sony if you're under warrenty... PS3 is generally very reliable just sounds like bad luck.

well sounds to me like if there is anything wrong its the HDD. If its only games on the HDD that are freezing then its highly likely thats the cause. Ive had a brand new HDD die after 6months in my laptop so they dont last forever and do die randomly. Try gettoign a new HDD and play some of the games that are causing the ps3 to freeze and see if it fixes the problem. If you have an old laptop lying about you can take the HDD out of that and use it. Its a bit of trouble but its better than sending it wawya to sony and havin them wipe the entire system
