My PSP isn't turning on. By this i mean that the green light isn't even come on. When the battery is in and i plug in the charger it goes orange, and when i try to switch on, it isn't. But it still stays orange. When i take out the battery though and plug in the charger no light comes on...

I have never had this problem before, and does anyone know the solutions. Please help!!

you bricked your psp, i.e. the flash with the firmware got corrupted. send it in to sony to have it repaired.

I had a similar problem. I turned my psp on one time and the green light flashed and turned off. I charged it and tried again. Of course I thought I would have to send it in. Luckly it worked the next day.

If your sure it doesnt work, then sending it in is your best bet. Umm my mate got a refirbished psp for £60 as his went on the fritz as well. So yeah, it'll cost.

Try taking the battery out for a minute. That should power down the PSP and reset it. Then pop the battery back in and see if it'll work.

i would try getting a new battery. I dont think you can run the psp w/o a good battery. i wouldnt think there would be software issue if the green light isnt coming on. sounds like hardware. but it could just be the battery is bad........ thats the cheapest solution. you can get a used battery for the psp cheap too. the new (but now discontinued) bigger ones are only like $45 too.

get a new battery or open your psp and try to power it on the hard way.... ofcourse, you might make things worse XD

remove the mms and the battery, turn it on with the adapter... : D !! clean up the mms and if still on... :D your battery died

I have the same problem I thing is the switch since before that happen the psp did not want to turn off, so I will try to fix check that and I will let you know what happen. I hope is only that. "ILMYPSP"

Well, it works now. Yes, It was the switch, actually the date bus that goes to the switch it was a little lose. The good thing is that is working know if I want more help about how to solve this issue replay me. Ah, another thing don't drop it again, That's happen to me. My PSP isn't turning on.
