My spider-man 3 impressions (video game)

I picked up my preorder today, I got the collectors edition( which is kinda a waste of $10). First of all it has the green goblin playable but you have to "unlock" him first. I thought he'd be awailable from the start. At least the box art is cool.

Graphics:

Not quite next gen but still an improvement from the 1st two games and thats with me playing it on a SDtv, I know I know. Anyway the frame rate is unstable during the automated save and the transition between day and night. The city appears much more massive and detailed than the first two as well. Spiderman looks awesome, but peter parker, MJ so far don't look too close to their movie counterparts.

Gameplay:

It takes getting used to but its not too hard to swing around the city, fighting on the other hand is a little confusing. Since when does an all girl gang give Spider-man such a challenge? I mean come on. At least the analog stick is easy to controll since you can aim in a direction and swim that way easily, and this time Spider-man can swim instead of dying when landing in water. Its still fun to climb to the tallest building and dive off and swining to safety just before hitting the ground. The thing I didn't care for howerver was the spider sense, it turns everthing black and white and grainny. I prefered Spiderman 2 to this one. At least he does say his lines in the game, "Spidy senses are tingling" Well I havent seen the movie yet so I'm not sure if he actually says it or not, I plan to see it at IMAX theater sometime this weekend.

Sound:

The sountrack isn't too bad but nothing to write home about, so far the voice acting is decent though. Not much more to tell about the sound.

Extras:

This version does have webisodes(short and not many) that the other versions don't have, and at least "eventually" in the game the goblin will become playable using the sixaxis to fly around the city.

Anyways its not too bad for Spiderman 3, not as good as I had hoped but it will tie me over until Heavenly sword.

I think people just got their hopes up way too much for this game.

It still looks great, and Im getting it..Im going to wait for  a review from GS though first to see what they say.

I compleated the game 71.4% but it took me 17.5 hours. How the hell did you do it in 4???

You heard wrong.. Any self-respecting spiderman comic reader of cartoon watcher will dislike the movie.

Okay i dont watch the cartoons or read the comics anymore but i used to and the story just like the first 2 was fracked up.. it just plain annoyed me... And peter evil ? .. I mean come on toby maguire is just too much of a nancy boy to ever look cool or intimidating.. the director knew this and decided to make him do gay little dances in the street ? what the hell does that got to do with anything?!??!

And eric from that 70's show as venom!? WTF... I mean Eddie brock without the suit was 2 peters size in pure muscle .. this guy is even thinner.. 

And the story did not ring true at all... But oh well.. i decided to treat the movie as a canon comic and i turned out to enjoy it actually ... untill the end when they fracked everything up again.. oh well at leasts its better than the first two.
