I bought a hdtv but it said on the box that it doesnt support 1080p, only up to 1080i but when i change the settings on the ps3 and put it up to 1080p its looks better than what i had it in 1080i. When i open the menu on my tv it says that its on 1080p. Do I realy have 1080p??

Thanks

Well the native res. is 1440x900 which is a little better than 720p. Heck I dunno, but that's pretty good for a 19" and decent price. Maybe is accepts the 1080p input and converts it to the native res.

My 1680x1050 tv will take 1080p signals also. It seems to downscale the signal to fit the screen, but it does look better since its using more of the pixels. Kinda like free anti-aliasing.
