Namco is awesome when it's comes to fighting games

Namco creates the best fighting games in the market and their franchise is really huge as well as popular word-wide. Whether you like Tekken or Soul Calibur you are bound to get a deep and amazing game full of addictive and long term fun.

Tekken in my opinion is the more popular franchise and has been around since the early 90's when it first hit the arcades. Since Tekken came out on Playstation 1 Sony found themself their first killer app, Tekken was hugely popular on the Playstation brand the success continued onto the PS2 and now the PS3. Soul Calibur came out in the late 90's and was one of the most successful Dreamcast titles, the game introduced weapons in a fighting game thus making it different from Namco's other fighter but just as awesome.

Which fighting franchise do you like better ? Tekken or Soul Calibur ?

I just love ekken and have been a huge fan since the late 90's, TTT was one of the main reasons I bought a PS2 thus falling in love with Playstation brand and it's amazing 1st/2nd party titles like Ico, R&C, GT, GOW etc. I admit Tekken 4 was disappointing but Tekken 5 returned to what Tekken does best.

Tekken 6 will be awesome and will be online-enabled. Kazuya FTW !

oh and Soul Calibur 4 will also be awesome and we get the most iconic Star Wars Character, Darth Vader !

i hate the Tekken series....probably my least fav of all the 3D fighting games. The first couple (up until 3) were good.

SC is definitely a solid 3D fighting franchise...so i voted SC4

I'm pretty stoked about Tekken... though Tekken DR on the PSN did disappoint me a little. I had been playing DOA4 quite a bit, and the pacing of that game is a great deal faster and the play is more fluid. I'd like to see Tekken take on that sense of speed, but still retain the great characters, and single-player mode that isn't an intolerable mess like DOA's is.Generic_Dude

The last time I played DOA was back when it 1st appeared on PS2, I just can't stand the game and it's way too simple & easy to execute moves. Sure DOA maybe faster but Tekken is definitely more deep and addictive, the charactes are better and the moves make you feel awseome when you pull them off, especially the juggles and combo's.

If you think it's easy, you probably haven't played DOA4... but it's difficult in a way that's unfair... regardless of how much skill you have, the CPU pulls off these ridiculous moves and block 90% of what you throw at them. And that doesn't make for a fun game. But I do like the multiplayer. It's quick and there's a lot going on... the interactive environments add a lot too.

I'm not downing Tekken... it's my favorite fighting game by a long shot... I just wish they'd incorporate that sense of speed that DOA has.

Tekken is fast but not overly fast like DOA, Tekken is a more strategic game and definitely the better fighter. Tekken is way more deep & entertaining then DOA, the ionly thing DOA has over Tekken is fan service.

Tekken may be hard to get into but when you do get into it you will be completely addicted with it's vast aray of moves and techniques.

Tekken 6 will arrive this year on PS3 with brand new features like:

• HUGE customisation of every character clothing etc
• Rage system enablinfg for more stratefic play
• More juggles & combo's
• Biggest roster of characters, even bigger then TTT
• 5 new characters
• projectile item attacks
• proper distructable levels including multi levels
• new animations for every single character

and the biggest feature of them all...
