Name one and explain what makes it good even if it wasnt rated higher.

I really enjoyed Alpha Protocol which scored a 6 on here. It reminded me of Mass Effect, and besides a few technical faults it's no where near as bad as people say.
The same goes for Dark Void (scored 6.5) which I just recently started playing, it's been pretty fun so far but the jet pack sections leave a lot to be desired. It's a shame since that was what drew me to the game in the first place.
Mirror's edge and Tomb Raider Underworld both scored 7's, but I honestly had much more fun with them than I ever did with say, the first Assassin's Creed which scored a 9.
I played Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, this game is just amazing in every way. I'm also a big fan of the series, I've played all the spin-off and the main ones so far. It's sad seeing it given 7.5 here in this site while it deserves at least 8.5, but never mind the score. The game still ruleZzz

this. mirrors edge is one of my all time favourite games, but assassin's creed got boring after doing the same thing for a thousand hours.
I enjoyed the SKATE series and eachone of those got like a 7 or 7.5. I mean what is not to like in a game where you can fully customize your person from scratch and then go skate all over a huge elaborite active well designed city
Wanted: Weapons Of Fate. Technically a crappy movie tie-in game (although the story in the game happens AFTER the events of the movie), but I enjoyed it. It wasn't particularly deep, combat was repetitive and sometimes a bit wonky, but the voiceacting was mostly decent and had some funny lines and curving headshots in slo-mo was definitely fun. ;)
It scored a 6.5 here. It's not a terrible game, but it's probably the worst game that I've enjoyed this gen.
Brigandine Ps1 6/10 gamespot
Ring of red is 7.9 not sure if you'd accept it but it was a big underground for me
Atelier Iris 1 2 and 3 PS2 all below 7.5
ar tonelico 1 2 and 3
shin megami tensei : strange journey DS
shin megami tensei : persone PS1 psp
shin megami tensei : devil summoner 1 and 2
and the list goes on and on ...
I can name one that was rated a 3 that I thought was okay....Hyperdimention Neptunia
It's more of a 7 than a 3 for those used to the typical JRPG's. And the music isn't like a dentist drill. Only the tutorial part has that music explained in the review, which tells me that the person who wrote that review didn't play the game for more than an hour....
Fallout New Vegas.
Started playing it on the X360 but my console got some weird issues so I bought myself a PS3. Started playing my way through that a week or so ago and I'm really enjoying it. Froze on me a couple of times, and I've encountered situations where I had to restart the PS3 to sort out a bug but overall its been a blast to play. Doesn't nail the atmosphere as well as Fallout 3 did but the funny dialogue and general wackiness that you encounter still remains strong in New Vegas. I can see why they gave it a 7.5 due to the bugs, but I gather the patches solved many - besides there's plenty of other games that get rated 9 and above (GTA and CoD are good examples) that have their fair share of issues.
Lost Planet 2, tons of bad design decisions but over alll satisfying. Enjoyed it more then majority of the big FPS's to be honest, by the time the credits rolled out I was actually satified rather then saying "Oh, there's gonna be a sequel."
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. The game yields a beautiful and satisfying experience. Some people criticize it for being linear, but that same criticism can be applicable to Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry.
Yeah, the skate games are all awesomeI enjoyed the SKATE series and eachone of those got like a 7 or 7.5. I mean what is not to like in a game where you can fully customize your person from scratch and then go skate all over a huge elaborite active well designed city

Honestly, you should be able to enjoy 7.5 games no problem.
-SOCOM 4 is plenty enjoyable, even though it got 7.5 here and even lower on metacritic. Great online play, decent campaign, and solid co-op options. It's one of the better featured shooters on PS3.
-I also enjoyed Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising that also scored a 7.5, It might even be my favorite campaign of all the shooters I've played just because it feels more authentic and "mission focused" in addition to it having an open world. Much better than the linear shooters with scripted events to mvoe you through the next checkpoint. Unfortunately it's multiplayer was a joke/nonexisistant.
I''d personally go a little lower score range to actually be "surprised" at enjoying a game in a certain range.
-I enjoyed Saw, it scored a 6.5 on here and 59 metacritic, honestly the gameplay was clunky as hell, but I loved the environments and puzzles. It was certainly "enjoyable", even though it had lots of problems.
-Hell I even enjoyed Star Wars: Clone Wars Republic Heroes, that game scored a 3.5 and really was terrible. But for whatever reason I did all the little things to even platinum it In a weird way I found it fun.
As far as a game I absolutely hated.
Army of Two: 40th Day. Might be the least favorite PS3 game I've played. I think it even scored a 6.5, but man that game was awful.
-I'd also say Terminator: Salvation was a terrible game, barely worth the rental fee. But of course it scored sufficiently terrible, it was a borderline broken game.
totally forgot about that one, awesome game!im surprised noone said ratched and clank future tools of destruction, great game dont know how it only got 7.5

I assumed the original poster meant a 7.5 everwhere and not just Gamespot. Tools of Destruction scored in the high 8's and low 9's everywhere other than here.
I enjoyed all these games alot more than their GS score would indicate. Especially Fallout New Vegas.
Iron Man 2 scored a 4.5 here on gamespot, so did Iron Man 1. But I actually enjoyed both. I purchased Iron Man 2 recently and had a blast with it. Maybe because I enjoy comic book super hero games regardless. I'm happy I picked it up brand new and I plan on keeping it like I do with all my games.
Two come to mind... Call of Duty: Roads To Victory on the PSP got a 6 I think (here on GS), but I actually had a lot of fun with it. I found it to be the most natural FPS with PSP controls. THP8 also, which got a 7.3 (on PS3), I liked just because I like playing Tony Hawk games, and for some reason I still like playing project 8 from time to time.
