Hi, gaming peeps! My roommate got us a Playstation 3 so we could watch hi-def DVDs, and we decided to play some games, natch. We wanted to play games together, so we go "Resistance: The Fall of Man," and played it twice. That was great, playing it together, killing hybrids, picking up weapons, and being a team. We wanted more like that, so we did a buncha research, looking for another game we could play together, so we got "Call of Duty 4," and sat down to play it together tonight. Big mistake: we picked out our weapons, then roamed around looking for people to kill, and found no one. Turned out we apparently need to go either fight each other or go online to locate other people to play; we can't play together as a team like we did in "Resistance." We've been doing hour ours of research trying to pick out more games that'll let us play together the same way we did in "Resistance," with a split screen, cooperatively, hunting down bad guys/aliens/whatever, poring over reviews, and we don't wanna buy more games that don't fit the criteria, but we're not altogether sure what the EXACT terminology is we're looking for so we'll get exactly what we want. We don't wanna hafta rely on going online to play; we wanna pick up the controller and play right here in the living room, not online, the two of us together, on one team, against the bad guys on a split screen. We don't like driving games like GTA, or flight sims, and we're HUGE fans of "Max Payne," if any of this info helps. I'd suuuuure be grateful either for exact titles, or else for good search terms to use that'll turn up what it is we're looking for. BTW, our PS3 is the kinda that does hardware emulation of the PS2, so we can play those, too (just not in hi-def). Thanks mucho for any pointers! Binky

I've got my list now (though you don't make it very easy, using acronyms like "GRAW," but luckily, my roommate's not a tard like I am, and he knew what the heck *that* is!) So now I've got a list consisting of: Rainbox Six Vegas Ghost Recon: Advanced Warrior 2 Warhawk Haze (January) Kane and Lynch Lego Star Wars Complete Saga (I totally can't believe that last one; I watched a QuickTime MooV of it, and I just about wet myself. But hey! If it meets my requirements, I may as well download a demo from the online store and try it out, right?) So how does my list look? You think we'll have cooperative, splitscreen fun?
