Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm!

Alright, SO

Usually, anime games suck, right?

and every Naruto game is the same, right?

Well, Ninja Storm caught my FULL attention.

The engine that they used for the battle grounds is amazing, and the graphics is an anime-game breakthrough.

It looks EXACTLY like the anime, and it has all the small things in it that count.

Enviornment.

One attack [on water] = Water rippling.

Call me crazy, but small things like that count.

Also, it seems set up better somehow other than the things i've listed...

Seriously though, the game looks really good.

Well, in all the other Naruto games there was a setting for difficulty [even if changing that setting hardly changed anything -_-]

But, it might not be difficult, you could be right about that.

I'm just ecstatic that it looks so amazing.

but, i'll probably end up buying it and it's not challenging at all. -_-

Yea, the small effects do count aswell and I think that the japanese voices inclusion will make the game more enjoyable for those who watch the anime and know the story line. I also find it really good that they have included a "Last Stand" chakra charge ability to unleash a monstrous weapon or specialty for the character which is reflected throughout the series of naruto.

I have to also say that the graphics are also really good from what I can compare to past naruto games. The way the characters move (especially with chakra dash) is a very unique and graphical engine which makes the whole experience even better.

So yea, Ive kinda made a review about this (from playing the demo) but hey...I LOVE IT!!

I'm not just saying this as a fan of Naruto, but honestly, there are posts here from people who don't even like the show, and they want to buy Ninja Storm.

They really did pull off an amazing game, and I can't wait to get it!

True, it could always be a flop. And yes, the fact that you have all this space to move around in is amazing.

It would really suck if it was a flop though, because they obviously spent quite a bit of money making the game.

I'm a little iffy about it if they made their own...

Hopefully, if they did make their own, they did a good job of it.

If not...then I really don't know about the game at that point.

Yes they did make their own game engine (as its the only fighter around with free roaming and great visuals for close combat) and its spectacular.

I just cant wait to play Rock Lee (hopefully he'll be really fast as in previous games xD!!) Fav Character :p

Also, they have a pretty similar character list to Naruto Ultimate Hero 3 but I think this is a positive step rather than having Shippuuden characters included (as there are fewer of them around)

Well, i'll take your word for it that it's good, as long as it's not ****. [If the controls are stiff and difficult, i'm gonna end up trading it in. =S]

I don't mind that they made their own, it just gives me an iffy feeling that it won't be all that great.

But, you've pretty much convienced me that it's not all that bad.

Lol, for an absolute pro who skips all the cinematics (Perfect Cinematics to be Exact) and has magnificent hand eye coordination aswell as knowing exactly where to go in the level without prompt.

MGS4 took me 15hrs to complete including cinematics, its probably the best game I have along with GH3 (GH3 is just fun :p)

Also, concerning the Naruto PS3 Game. If you dont have a PS3 dont worry about your doubts about stiff controls and difficulty, they are extremely fluid and you get a very good feel for the controls after the first 4 fights or so. If you had a PS3 you could check out the demo which gives you a glimps into the gameplay.

The controls are quite easy to get a hold of but getting the right "Techniques" to use different combos is another thing. Jumping and attacking a player is just as easy of being in a medium jumping distance and pressing X + X. Moving speed is compared to the players attributes (Gaara is slower than most characters while Gai is quite fast) but this imbalance in speed is calibrated by player skills and damage per hit.

Yeah, i'm worried about both the PS3 controls and Naruto, so since you played the demo [or atleast I think I recall you saying you played the demo], i'll take your word for it.

Yeah, the character speeds and all that were like that in Ultimate Ninja 3. Gaara was really slow, but I was really good at using him to fight with, so i'll prolly use him again in Ninja Storm.

Sooo yeah, i'm expecting that this game will be absolutely amazing, and I hope it doesn't let me down. [considering that it's my second favorite anime, i'll be depressed if it does let me down. T.T]

You could beat it in 4 hours if you put it on the easiest difficulty, skipped all the cutscenes and only did the story part of the game ans you didn't go for any extra guns or anything.....but playing the game like that would be pointless. It would be wasting an amazing game and you wouldn't do that would you?

No no no no! I would never do that! I play games to scope through everything, not just Easy Difficulty, skip the scenes, don't get anything...No, that's just absolutely, positively pointless. If anyone does that, they're not a true gamer.

I learned the hard way that you HAVE to scope everything anyways from the Final Fantasy series, along with Castlevania.

Also, adding the Japanese voices was a definite plus cuz sorry I HATE the enlgish dub. Though its great, I won't get this, I prefer till they get into Shippudden and then I'll think about it.

Hey All, I have only been wathching Naruto for a month or 2 so far and I really like it. I have just seen to the end of season 2 (uk). I was wondering how far into the story this goes. I wanna get the game but I dont wanna ruin the story :SSpitmeout

Have you been watching english sub? If you want to get further on into the story while getting a better experience with Japanese voices (Way better than English voices, eng dubs suck!) go to www.myspacetv.com and search your episode subbed in english. This is how ive watched it and now im up to the most recent episode where Naruto is older and has been training with Jaraiya for 2yrs.

I know its not far enough... I watch the subbed anime. I said until a Shipuudden game comes out for the PS3, then I'll buy it (which may be a long time from now).

O, Ok, got ya. Just misunderstood the full meaning. I knew you watched the shippuuden though, because it hasent even been dubbed in english yet (or it may be dubbed, just not released)

Good point though, all naruto games have been for the same series and no shippuuden ones have come out so I can see why people won't buy it. It still looks nice and plays nice though :)
