I'm almost 24 and I love Pokemon and Pikachu. Pokemon just seems "kiddy" because of the cute little Pokemon you can capture. It's actually a really deep RPG experience if you look past the cuteness factor.

Pikachu is a hero. Did you see him destroy all those Spearow in the first episode of Pokemon? He saved the day. Pikachu is one of the most important figures in gaming history. If that's not a hero than I don't know what is. Just because he's weaker than some other Pokemon doesn't make him any less significant.

No way can you even compare a yellow bunny or whatever it is, who only ever says ONE WORD (His ridiculous name) to Nathan Drake, one of the funniest and one of the only modern vieo game characters you can easily identify with. an "Everyman" if you will. Enough said.

And Nathan Drake is an "everyman?" So we all go on treasure hunt excursions and take down numerous enemies with guns? You're right. I'm about to go fly my plane and find some treasure! Nathan Drake was annoying to me. I don't relate to Nathan Drake at all. The only thing that is remotely similar about us is our hair style.

Uncharted 2 is hyped beyond belief, but until Nathan Drake appears in more games he'll be second to Pikachu. If you ask people to associate Pokemon with one word I guarantee most people will say Pikachu. He is that important and significant to the Pokemon franchise.

Pikachu is not one of the main reasons Pokemon games sell so well? It may not be the biggest, but it has to be one of the main reasons.
