NBA Jam's value?

I really loved playing nba jam way back in my gaming career. I've been looking at the newest version, but the $50 price tag is keeping me from committing to this game. It just seems awful pricey for this type of game, but as I don't own it, maybe I'm wrong. So to those that have this game, is there enough content and value to this game to justify this price?

I'd wait till a price drop. It's fun and all, not not worth the price tag. $30 I would say go for it, there's enough enjoyment for that price, but not for full.

I know the Wii version is going to be cheap tomorrow at certain stores, but I haven't seen anything about the PS3 version. You'll probably want to wait for a markdown. It's really not worth the $50 price, unless you have a ton of friends that want to play it with you.

Have it for wii, and the game really is fun if you play with friends. It's still not worth $50 though. The ratings for the players in the game are god awful as well. Derrick Rose and John Wall only have an 8 in speed. Meanwhile Russel Westbrook, Dwayne Wade, Rajon Rondo, and Kobe Bryant are 9 in speed. Everyone knows Rose and Wall are the two fastest players in the NBA. Not to mention players like Paul Pierce have the same speed rating as Rose and Wall. To top it off, they don't let you tweak any of the player ratings to actually make them accurate.
