need a break from COD how is Socom

so i need a little break from COD I wanted to see how Socom is. I was interested in picking up Socom 4. Is this the same type of multiplayer. I played the demo a little but it seemed like it was always some sort of objective had to be completed. Is there just a straight up multiplayer where it is team vs team or free for all with out any objective

there is multiplayer but its horrible compared to the older socom's. I still play socom on my ps2 and the 4 just seems horrible in my opnion

if you play COD you will not like socom IMO more team oriented less lone wolf like COD, also it will be much slower to you MUCH slower from FPS to third person
