So lately i have been buying older games at cheap prices such as demon souls which i have burned out on at the moment after 4 playthroughs. I need a good hidden gem out there any thoughts?

please ignore him, not all of us are so smug and condescending and hell bent on being obsessively unhelpful. try folklore (lots of text to read, but still a cool game) or valkyria chroniclesOne you would find in a treasure chest? Or if you want to go real hardcore, chip away at a rock somewhere in a mine...
Denji
Try Dark Void. It should be like $5-$10 and its pretty fun as well. Valkryia Chorincles, Sid Merers, comes to mine as well both under $20
looks interesting I also noticed the Japan studio company as they did something in demon souls too, thanks need to look further into that oneHaven't played it yet, but I heard Folklore was pretty good..

Folklore - It has a great story, and the art-style and soundtrack are top-notch. It uses the sixaxis feature nicely. The only bad thing about Folklore is that it's repetitive. You have to go through the same levels and fight the same bosses twice if you want to finish the game.
Valkyria Chronicles - The gameplay is incredibly fun & fresh, and pretty much each mission is unique. It never gets boring, since each mission has its unique twist.
The Darkness and Dark Void are pretty good too.
It all depends on what you like, on a whim i picked up Darksiders and i found it thoroughly enjoyable *thumbs up*
...The Saboteur
Namgis
Forget my earlier recommendations, THE SABOTEUR! That game was awesome. If you haven't played it look it up, for sure.
Here's the general idea:
You are an Irish Race Car Driver in WWII-era France (and Germany) in a GTA-esque world.
And if you're a completionist or trophy-collector(?) this game will give you hours of gameplay.
I'm not actually an achievement hunter, but I liked the game so much, I didn't want to put it down after beating the campaign so I completed all the Free-Play Challenges (think pidgeons in GTA IV) and have 1000/1000 Gamerscore...
