Okay, so after putting a great deal of thought into it, I think I've pretty much decided that I can't miss out on Xenogears since I've heard great things about it and I've also heard it has a great story which I would really appreciate right now... So, let me know if you have any objections or recommendations of other PS1 RPGs that are better as far as story and gameplay are concerned just so I know I forgot to consider something... but the real issue is this...

I can't decide between Hard Corp Uprising and Journey. I won't have internet access so I would be able to put multiplayer to great use on Hard Corp with my roommate, but Journey seems to be so full of hype that I can't decide between the two. I'm worried Journey won't last me very long since it only takes about 2 hours to beat from waht reviews have said and once it's over, I'm not sure if there will be much else to do with the game. Oooo what a dillema... thanks for the help!

Trust me man if you liked either one of the Chrono games your going to love Xenogears. As for your second question I'd go with Journey out of those two.

I loved Chrono Trigger as a matter of fact! And Chrono Cross seemed pretty good but I always get distracted and pulled away from that game so I'm not very far in it... Does Journey have high replay value would you say?

Like you said it's a short game but the visuals are breathtaking to say the least. I played through it once and want to play it again but I'm the type who goes after trophies.

...not necessarily Loved the Chrono games but did not enjoy Xenogears (plot was like a 16 year old took religion and philosophy classes...plus the rushed, terrible second disk/half)

Oh well that doesn't sound very reassuring... What would you suggest then if you didn't enjoy xenogears?

Breath of Fire 4 and Alundra 1. These are 2 of the best ps1 classics in my opinion.

If I could ask another question while on the subject, can you really play through journey all that much time and time again without getting bored?

Suikoden, FF9, and Grandia are the best PS1 RPGs on PSN IMO Grandia starts VERY slow though. The first couple hours suck (I almost quite back in the day). But it ramps up quick FF9 is the best FF on PS1 Suikoden is one of my all time favorite series. Mature plot. Lots to discover. Awesome game...can't recommend enough
