need convincing

im seriously thining about selling my psp and getting a ds. now that crisis core has come out, theres nothing to look forward to coming out on the psp. im a little sad cuz the psp has always been by my side...but the ds has so many great games like the world ends with you, zelda, pokemon, mario party, guitar hero, animal crossing, metroid prime, and those are just the ones i can think of off the top of my head. i need convincing fast! the only reason i still have a psp is for kingdom hearts...help :(

In Japan, PSP already out sold DS 2 to 1.Yorro

Yup the recent handheld sales PSP finally beat the crap out of DS and selling steadily every month.

Guess it was bound to happen after the DS sold over 66 million units or somethin like that.

Personally, I have both so i can get the best of both worlds.

I'm also thinking about getting a DS, not because I don't like my PSP, but because I want to get that Nintendo 'taste', although I've read in more than a review that it sometimes feels awkward using the buttons and the stylus at the same time. Also, if you're the kind of the gamer who likes light-heated, simple, colorful games i.e. more of a casual gamer, I think the DS would be a better option. PSP games are good and all, but most of them are console remakes, so they're heavy, long, and complicated. Many of them do not let you save your progress except after you finish a stage which could be really long for a portable gaming session. On the other hand, most Nintendo games would let you save anytime.

So if you wanna buy a DS, keep those two points in mind; the stylus-based input and the type of games.

2008 is Sony's year - THE YEAR OF THE PSP

have you forgoten about Dissidia Final Fntasy? It's a FF1 through 12 3D fighter coming late 08. Looks great. Those games on the ds is good but they are just to chilidish for me. Ronagen's list of psp games to come are some of the greatest games to get. And tehn there are Japanese import whcih are great aswell. Seriously the only reason you should get a DS is for Ninja Gaiden and Jump! ultiamte Stars which get boring after a couple of months

Well what convinced me to keep my psp is Bleach heat souls 5...i know you probably going to import it...which im going to do xD but for me thats the top of gaming quality xD

is dissida(sp?) only coming out in japan? or in u.s. also?

If you have enough budget, just get a DS too so you will not regret selling your PSP when the time comes. It's good to have the latest two handhelds so you'll always get updated in the gaming world.

I have both and sadly, I kinda abandoned the DS for a while and played a lot with my PSP. But then again, the PSP needs more games. I am so waiting for those titles mentioned above. Especially the Dissidia FF through 12. And please, more games.
