I'll keep this brief. Hard game. I'm on New Game +. I suck. Soul Level: 76. I am trying my hardest, but I need someone with more experience to help me out. If you're close to my soul level, and think you can help sometime in the near future, I'll message you my PSN-ID.

Thanks,

MGS-Mercenary

I gotta ask you a question first. How did you apply your stats? What I mean is did you even them out or did you just only padded your stats up in a couple of categories. It makes a huge difference in the game because if you spread your stats around to every category, the game will just get ridiculously hard.

I spread a little bit around everything, if thats what did me in. I have slightly higher strength and vitality though.

I mainly applied my stats to Luck (Blueblood Sword), Strength, Endurance, Vitality, and a little in magic. I'd also make sure to keep Poison Cloud as a spell, and possibly Warding too.

And to TC: As a general tip, if you're just having a lot of trouble and need to get through a few worlds and get some better spells or level up a bit, it's cheap, but you can pretty much get entirely through levels just using Poison Cloud, and you can use the quit game save glitch if you die, though I'd just do this until you get some spells or level up a bit more because it's very slow and makes the game very boring, and completely eliminates any good challenge.

The best way to go would be specializing your character in something and getting weapons appropiated to your stats. Going for Faith + Blessed weapons, Magic + Moon/Crescent weapons, Strength + Crushing weapons, Dextery + Sharp weapons, Luck + Blueblood Sword, etc.

Faith builds rely on Vitality + Faith, your weapons will regenerate your health and with Second Chance you get a virtual +50% in HP. (Consider getting the Adjudicator Shield + 5 and double hand weapons)

With STR builds you can deal tons of damage, and if you can cast enchant weapons, curse weapons, etc you can up even more the damage.

Also, having at least the power to cast a couple of spells/miracles would be nice, 2 slots in miracles give you Second Chance, and 2 for magic will let you cast at least Warding for harder fights, or other stuff if using Second Chance.

Consider getting 40 in endurance to get the max amount of stamina possible (160), more than that is not really needed in endurance because it will not give you more stamina.

In new game + and up your armor becomes useless for most parts of the game, so you can change to a lighter one and rely more on evation and blocking, this way your stamina regeneration is going to be as fast as possible.

First of all, I'm not an expert at the game. I'm just remember a certain user on GS having two platinums for DS (US and Europe version) and he told me to keep it focused on 3-4 different stats. I tried making a knight with strong combat and magic but he told me I would have to work extra hard and pad my stats up for a good while before I could really do anything with it.

Hm, I was considering doing Strength/Magic, I guess not anymore lol.

Once I get back to doing my 2nd playthrough, I'm going to try and pad both but I know its going to take time to farm those souls.

Hey guys... so yeah, I just figured out that 5-2 is pretty hard. Died like 10 times already. So if anyone is up as late as I am and wants to help out a bit... I'd appreciate it greatly. Thanks! My PSN is Kazoo97. I'm Soul Level 75.
