need help changing resolutions

I had my ps3 hooked up to a friends television at 1080p, and i keep it at 720p at my house. now that i have brought it back i cant see anything on the screen. if i cant see the screen how can i change it back ? pleasssse help

Just hold the power button until it beeps and it will reset the system.
