just hold the power button on the ps3 for 5 seconds and it will reset. that should do it.

call sony support. if you hook it back up to the hdmi tv and change the settings before you move it to the new tv it will work.

there's a way to reset the video output for the ps3 if used on a tv that doesn't have the same outputs you've been using... but it's been a while since i had to do it so i can't remember what i had to do.

i THINK they had me unplug my ps3 from the outlet AND the tv, leave it unplugged for 10 sec, hook everything back up, then HOLD DOWN the power button until you get a second set of beeps from it (after you get the beep that indicates it's cutting it on, keep holding down the power until you hear it beep again).

moloto was right, you just hook it up to your new tv, then hold the power button for a few seconds. It will reset and autodetect your new tv and settings.

  1. Hook up the PS3 like normal.
  2. Flip switch in back of PS3, red light will display on front.
  3. Put finger on Power sensor for 5 sec.
  4. PS3 beeps and auto-detects connections, requests setting confirmation.
Hope this helps.
