can u guys go through all the different features different pal ps3's have to offer[40gb, 60, 80 ect..]
like can u burn ps2 games from disk to the harddrive?..do you need a router with a certain connection speed,I find most other stuff accross the net to be dribble so i need an idiots guide i guess ,':]

well im not sure about the 40 and 60 but i have the 80.

basically on the 80 you get 80 gigs (no brainer)

it has also backwards compatibility

4 usb ports

and the price tag is the highest of the 3 :P

how do you wotk the internet, can it read sd cards, which pic formats can it read, can u tell me stuff like this.. all the specs i find are ether old or 360 fan boys taking the piss

well i only know about the 80 cause thats what i have. basically it can read SD cards aslong as you have the USB adaptor or a psp :P as for the formats i think its able to read them all ? not sure about that but if its anything like the psp then its .JPG only i suppose. as for the internet you have to setup a connection then go to the internet browser and bam your on :P ps3 has like its own "Internet Browser" custom xD :P

so by USB adaptor do u mean an offical one or just a mobile phone with a sd slot and a usb cable for e.g.
and soz if i'm grilling u lol, i just can feel a strange cloud that has "haha, u wasted u'r money" all over it.

and one more question, how do you buy the downloadale content form the ps3 internet, are there spesific sites for the ps3 download stuff, or a special alternate feed? do you need a credit card?

The difference between 60 and 80 is they took emotion engine out of 80 and added extra 20g of hard drive..and thats it..

So basicaly you get an extra 20g of hard drive to compensate the fact it does not have the same backwards compatability as the 60.

Actually, the 60 gig will have the best performance of the three as it has the Emotion chip set which is a hardware solution for backwards compatibility. The 80 gig uses a software solution that isn't as good. The 40 gig looses any backwards compatibility, only has 2 USB ports (as opposed to six in the 60 and 80 gig version) and deletes the media bay that reads SD (mini and standard) CF Cards and Memory sticks.

Don't forget that you can upgrade the HDD in your PS3 with just about any 2.5" HDD for a laptop which makes the best bang for your buck the 60 gig version in my opinion.
