Ok, so my birthday is September 18th. The New PSP is coming out in october correct? I really want a PSP for FF tactics, Tales of the World, and Daxter. So would it be smarter Money wise, to get the old PSP on my Birthday, or just preorder the slim psp on my birthday?

Actually, unless I'm wrong, the new PSP comes out in September, only the Battlefront one comes out in October.

Yes, I was right. The silver one with daxter and stuff comes out on Sept 10 for $200. The black one comes out later in Sept for $169. P.S. 1000 posts. YAY!

preorder the slim, it's the same price for a better product. Just learn some patience for a bit and you'll be better for it in the long run.

yea, im kinda like you. i think im just going to buy the older version, i can get it sooner. the slim version sounds nice and all, but honestly the longer battery life wouldnt be good for me because id never put it down!plus, the redesigned psp isnt that different. they shouldve just had updated batterys or something for the people that had the "old" version to put in, to save them hassel. but, which ever you prefer!:D
