My ps3 (60GB) is freezing alot lately. It is in an open space so I don't think overheating is the problem. It freezes in any game after about 2 minutes of gameplay and sometimes it shows the Playstation 3 logo and nothing happens. Is it my Blu-Ray drive or something else? And also if I have to buy a new PS3 can I replace the HDD with the one I have in my Ps3 right now because I have about 200 Rock Band songs and I don't want to redownload all of them again...

Thanks

You will probably need to back up your data on a flash drive and send in your PS3 to Sony to replace it.From the sounds of it your PS3 is about to die.

My Ps3 has been freezing alot lately too, but only when i play fallout three so i am going to blame it on the game rather then the system... I hope that is the case.

That sucks. And I was playing Fallout 3 with it happened too. How much will it cost since my ps3 is not on a warranty anymore?

I pretty much just got the confirmation that it's my blu ray drive. I've been playing Super Stardust for more than an hour with no freezes

Recent studies show that gaming more than 6 to 8 hours a day, the chances of hardware failure are greater. The first stages will usually be freezing, automatic restarts etc.
