Need Help with sound output

I got my ps3 hooked to my home theater, but there's a small problem.. everytime I play a demo or a game, the sound options change and this causes a weird sound to come from the speakers..

ex: im in the main menu, the sound option is prologic II, when a game starts to load it changes to Dolby 5.1

a weird sound comes out, its the same sound that comes when u unplug ur speaker wires while ur watching a movie.. did that happen to any1?

Yup as in a static crackly sound :? 

My home theater supports all sound formats, its just LPCM is working then it turns off and the static sound comes on, then DOLBY is activated :S weird!

Hmm, it sounds like this problem is unfixable. Looks like your just going to have to smash your PLaystation 3 with a hammer and go out and buy an xbox 360.GIJesse77
