Need serious help with Fallout 3.

Yeah, so I recently just bought a new copy of Fallout 3 today (less than 3 hours ago actually) and when I popped in the disc, it didnt ask me if I wanted to update. So I went ahead with the game anyway. But now, everytime someone signs in/out or sends me a message, the game freezes. As well, theres no trophy support in my copy. I know some of you will say to just sign out so I wont get notifications but I still want the trophy support. Is there any other way to get this update, as it is not appearing for me when I start the game? (It just shows the message about the HDD and not turning it off or something)

Fallout 3 had a lot of problems on the ps3 version. I went through three different versions till i got one that worked. As for the popping and freezing bethseda sugguested turnin off notifications while playing fallout 3. But they also put out a patch/ udpate to fix some of the problems, so i dont understand why you are not seein the update. You can try taking it back and saying the disc is faulty like i did until i got one that worked properly. OR you can call sony as ask why the update might not be appearing, have other updates popped up?

Also when the game freezes and you have to turn the power off, its not good for the system. While fallout 3 is a great game is just dangerous for your system.

the updates solves all that and gives you trophies, just make sure you're connected to the internet and signed in, try another disc maybe

I have never had a problem Sucks though its a good game for an Americian RPG

Theres a bunch of glitches on the ps3 version... you learn to get used to it :P
