I hate so many things about it:

1. the weapon attachment system is a stupid, half-assed way of prolonging the upgrade system. There is almost no incentive to use new weapons if you're going to be left with inferior atttachments.

2. The helicopters, and especially the jets SUCK. It is almost impossible to get any kills with it and without the flares you die from homing devices within seconds of being airborne, making the first upgrade for flying impossibly difficult to get. Not to mention it is almost impossible to get kills anyways. It seemed like they wanted to tack on a flying component but didn't want it to effect the tide of the game at all. Planes are useless.

3. People spawning onto or stealing your plane/vehicle. There should be some sort of process to allocate who gets what and when. It is totally unfair and BS that I am repairing a plane and some douchebag steals my plane. The current process of vehicle aquisition is unfair and pisses gamers off. I was repairing a jet that would of otherwise exploded when some BEEPhole stole my plane.

4. The people who take planes/choppers and crash it immediately after flying it for 100 feet. Not the developers fault, but it pisses me off so much. They need to make a practice map for these people.

5. Cheap back kills

6. too difficult to spot enemy

7. It takes way to long to level up. They figure that is the only way to get players to keep playing but their approach is way to blatant and boring. Progress is slow. I go up a rank only to receive a new camo! Even if you do tediously unlock all the weapons there is no practical reason to use it because of point #1. Remainder EA: This is a shooter, not World of Warcraft.

I'm sure there are other problems. I hate these aspects of BF3 and it reminds me of why I love COD. COD is simple, fun and action packed. COD3, my body is ready.

The point in Batllefield 3 is to show you the true war, it's a very tactical game! Not like COD (that i really like) which is a run and gun and don't care about your deaths game, Battlefield is all about strategy, they are 2 different games!

Yeah, in BF3, if you run around in the open like a moron, you WILL get shot within like 5 seconds. Pretty much every single move has to be calculated. This isn't CoD, where you mindlessly jump and skip around, and look like a nutcase soldier.

EXACTLY, only pure cod fanboys see them as the "same" game. They scared their precious COD game will be forgotten about. I play both and enjoy both because of the differences

I absolutely resent the idea that people see BF as 'true war'. No it's not. The true war is not on my ps3, it's with those blokes out on the frontline. COD, BF, they're all just FPS' with different perspectives.

LOL at people who think this is "true war".

i didn't even comment on that. My complaints are the people stealing my planes, the planes sucking and the upgrade system.

i hate to say it but with MW2 and BBC2 although i hate Activision as its a pure buisness only company with terrible no thought of what users want and infinity ward i do prefer the cod games, they get them spot on

they have the funnest gameplay, you can work in teams unlike many say (if you work in teams you can absaloutley demolish the opposition)

and its FUN, BBC2 lost that as it implemented a long leveling system, bland maps etc

just my two cents :D

Haha. Ohhh goshhh. When you mentioned your love for CoD I totally understood why you're bashing such a great game. 1. CoD is getting a weapon attachment system sorta like Battlefield the fact that you're complaining makes your argument similar to someone uninformed. 2. You bash the vehicles because CoD holds your hand whenever you get vehicles and you dont know, or care to know how to use them. 3. You dont typically fly a plane, take a few shots, then land it to repair so I could care less about your crying. 4. True, but its nothing to get butthurt over. 5. You talk about cheap back kills when in CoD you could knife someones TOE and they would go down. Thats not cheap? The way the pulled off knifing is 10x better in BF than in CoD. 6. There is a spotting function, look it up. It would be difficult to spot in CoD too, but the maps are unrealistically small and they like people breathing down each others necks. 7. Slow progress? Wtf. CoD has you go through 15 levels of prestige with the level to prestige like 70 or something? In conclusion, I think your arguments is just one of another cry baby who shows a tremendous about of bias.

You know, TC.....you were actually writing a really nice post until you got to the very end with your blatant COD fanboy-ness. Anyway, I mostly agree with you to be honest. I was going to buy BF3 but after my experiences in the alpha and beta, I realized it was just going to be a very frustrating game. I will always have BF:BC2 for my BF experience and other shooters for an arcade exprience

I don't think anyone who genuinely enjoys the CoD series as it currently is can be taken seriously when they say some other FPS multiplayer is frustrating.

What do you mean?

Dont get me wrong...i'm not a COD fanboy at all. Did not buy MW2 and will not be buying MW3. I think the entire series is rediculous and the fact that so many people pay $60 every year for a reskin of the same old multiplayer with a 4-5 hour long single player campaign blows my mind.

However, i dont see how the game is "frustrating". I think its good for what it is, its just extremely overrated.

The multiplayer is dependent almost entirely on connection and since CoD uses P2P, it makes for a very frustrating, inconsistent experience. If someone has a better connection to the host than you, they're going to beat you in a firefight 9 times out of 10 plain and simple. The idea of "skill" or getting better(which is how I feel satisfaction in multiplayer games) is almost entirely lost in that setting. Also, just how fast you die in CoD makes it a very frustrating experience for me.

I don't play COD now, and have never played Battlefield, but Battlefield is one game which I respect, separates the men from the boys. Having an MLG in that is worth the effort imo.

So you read the thread huh? So you noticed that some people dislike both games and like both games as well besides the few saying Battlefield is better? I myself play both games which I listed under this thread earlier. I think before you post next time claiming you "read" the thread how about REALLY reading the thread an getting your facts straight before sounding like a dork yourself. It's worse enough the original poster is a ture fanboy of COD and makes it obvious, so how about intead of crtitizing the people who replied, why not crisitze the original posted which claims to be what you say everyone else is in this thread. Enough said.

BF3 has made me rage at times, though mostly it hasn't been because of the game itself... if you get mad at it, you are probably doing bad. And admittedly, that's been the case for me at times. But when you actually get into it and find a game mode you like, it can be a hell of a lot of fun. I pretty much only played COD until I got into Bad Company 2, and then that game took over my online gaming time. I'm still not quite sure if I'm liking BF3 more than I did with BC2, but it's still too early for me to tell. A lot of people seem to just be giving up on BF3 before giving it a fair chance. I guess I'm not surprised... people will always love the simplicity of Call of Duty and won't leave it no matter how much it doesn't change.

I like Fish alot because it taste good, and I like Salmon fairly well too. I also tend to eat fish fairly often haven't had any in a while though only thing I don't like on fish sometimes is bones though.

For the love of God, it's "I couldn't care less! Couldn't! Could Not!" D=

Lol really? I feel like it could go both ways. If not then I guess I learned something new today. :p

Battlefield 3 is nothing like true war unless your crazy. No game is like true war maybe arma 2.In real life you get shot and bullet goes through your armor it might stop inside you, ripe a hole through you and you bleed to death or die instantly. You can be heavily wounded from a single hit, etc.

Never compare a game to true war.CoD and battlefield are not reskins. Each new one is packed with new content and better then the last. The flamewar between both games is just idiots who throw opinions everywhere.

The planes and helicopters don't suck, you just suck at flying them.

Battlefield is more of a long term game, the more you put into it the more you get out of it, and practice serves you well.

LOL at people who think this is "true war".

i didn't even comment on that. My complaints are the people stealing my planes, the planes sucking and the upgrade system.

if you guys dont care about his rant then why the f**k are you reading his post?? i read this thread from a neutral perspective and im just thinking, yup, sounds just like bad company. this isnt a call for all the battlefield fan boys to come to the rescue. everyone has their own opinion and mine is, the battlefield defenders all look like dorks in this threadgrand17

EXACTLY, totally agree with you man. The bf players really sound defensive here...hehhe, why so i wonder? I would say the same about cod players, but they haven't really posted in this thread yet (besides the tp).

Any game can make you angry if you take it to seriously and it doesn't mean its a bad game. In my case for me personally, Demon Souls was incredibly hard. After first few hours, numerous deaths and getting one hit killed by the second tower boss knight, I had to keep my rising anger in check. After few more tries I decided its simply not a game for me. Its a great rpg/action game but, not my cup of tea. The point I'm trying to make is enjoy the game that makes you happy, not angry. However, don't bash the said game if you're not good at it. ;)

I agree with Original Poster. Hey we just have opinions, that's all. This game sucks just like bc2 or any bf game. I don't need to go into detail because the op already covered that. Oh and by the way I play on pc. I should have bought MW3, even the pc version.

The point in Batllefield 3 is to show you the true war, it's a very tactical game! Not like COD (that i really like) which is a run and gun and don't care about your deaths game, Battlefield is all about strategy, they are 2 different games!

True war? lol

Sorry, lol, i didn't mean true war xD. It's jst more similar to the war itself. CoD is mure runing and shooting...do that on battlefield and you will be dead in 2 secs. That was my point...

okay tc i agree with you on 2 points

1. yes it is annoying that you have to re-unlock every attachment every time you get a new gun (but luckly you unlock them really fast)

2. The jets are incredibly pointless the only thing they can do is kill other jets. if the jets could drop bombs then they would be useful but their machine guns do absolutely nothing. But the helicopters, if you have a good pilot, can be useful since they have machine gun turrets and missiles, and they can float in one spot instead of flying past the battlefield at insane speeds (like the jets)

I prefer "Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising" set to 'Hardcore' for a simulation experience. An enemy soldier within 200m is a deadly threat, no radar, no persistant HUD, real wind and gravity factors in bullet physics, and one shot can erase 45min. of tactical creeping and firefight progress... If you want a "real" experience you go with that game, not BF or CoD. Both BF and CoD are good games, and respect to their communities, but neither of those are what I would term "realistic" in gameplay.

TC, I fixed your post for you. 1) I suck 2) I suck 3) Ill rage about being rubbish at the game, and so never play it to get better. 4) COD is better because I can get the drop on 14 year old kids. Is this about the gist of it?

Battlefield 3 is an awesome game, vehicle spawn camping has been around since 1942 its part of the game, if you dont want to spawn camp a vehicle grab a jeep (there always around) and head to the front lines. I do agree with you on one point. That there should be a practice map for noobs. When you see someone take a plane or heli then crash it immediately it sucks. But at the same time how are they to learn!
