New 80gb PS3? We Launch Owners Got Screwed!

lol if you're upset because of more 20gb just go and buy the 80gb disk...you get one for 40-50$.

if you're upset about the early price drop, well things work that way, i bought ps2 for 400 euros, nowdays the price is around 100 euros, what can i do?

But this time i didn't fall in the same mistake, i don't have a ps3 yet. People just need to be more patient, you become upset in your life because of your own actions...and then you regret.

Don't blame sony for this, the company wasn't having the expected profit, a price drop is kinda predictable and the 80gb model is aswell because of the past korean release.

agreed. I bought an HDTV for $1200 last year. That same TV is now $600. Did I run and complain that I got screwed for paying so much? no. I know how the consumer electronics industry works. Prices drop...fast.

Why is this such a big deal when you can just upgrade your ps3 to 80Gig? Heck you can go get it fitted with 120 gig and more. So why is this such a big thing?

Last I checked, they r doing this to increase the sales of the ps3. And if u want a larger hard drive, u can just replace it urself with. Why want 80 when u can have 160 GB??? So stop crying.

I think it is great, I don't have a problem with it at all it will be cheaper for the to upgrade the hard drive on my own anyway.

Uh... everybody knew something like this would happen anyway,we just wanted to be some of the first to get the console. If you didn't know something like this would happen, you must be blissfully unaware of many things. You should've waited a year to buy a console since they would obviously release a better SKU, or a bundle or something this year.

I am with Rick on this one and am very surprised at the TC for this thread. I would not trade the last 7 months of gaming for a measly 20 gigs and $100 dollars. Come on, everyone complains its too much and now we have a price drop and you are complaining?

Dude part of being an early adopter is accepting the risk that you are getting the worst deal possible, in exchange for having it before everyone. Quit your whining and enjoy your PS3. Does the extra 20 GB really matter to you anyways. If it does why don't you just go and buy a large laptop drive and put that in your PS3.

I've had my 360 since launch, downloaded movies, games, demos, ect, ect, and I still have over 7 gigs worth of memory left. If you REALLY need 80 gigs and not 60 gigs, I feel very sorry for you.blaine66

Since ALL PS3s have hard drives, it's very common for games to install up to gigabytes of data onto the hard drive for quicker load times and speedier gameplay. Sure, 80GB may not be for everyone, but at least Sony is giving us too much storage instead of not enough.

i heard the 80 gb ps3 won't even have the EE chip,if that's true then no skin off my back.
