as for the gameplay footage..

 WOW!!! it looks REALLY good, turns out i might like this game alot more than DMC3.and i loved the crap out of that game! it really bums me out for the fact that its not exclusive anymore, but w/e...theres obviously nothing that can change that now...hopefully later on in the future "if" they make another installment, i hope it will be exclusive to ps3, jus to go back to its roots..im sure by then the install base will be very huge, so Capcom has nothing to say

This could be a business stratagy for Capcom? They might try to hype DMC so if it becomes exclusive (again), then they will have a huge install base want a PS3...And of course Sony might be paying Capcom to do this...Maybe not...Anyway, it doesn't really matters since I'm getting both versions (I'm buying the PS3 version and renting the 360 version for the easy achievements.)

:O looks amazing 3 things i picked up on

1 that trailer made the graphics looks very pretty :D

2 some of those throwing moves, partiuclary the boss ones reminded me of God of war (this can only be a good thing)

looks like in this game you will be moving from location to location alot more.

It looks real cool, and I'm begining to feel Nero is a cool character.

btw, i hope we see some Dante gameplay soon.

This game is going to be awesome.

 I knew the next gen was starting when i played dmc on ps2(i loved that game) and since then its been one of my fav ip's.

 I just know the slam dunk and catch this comments are going to grind on me.

Well I dont think that it really matters that its coming out on the 360. Now I am sure that people are going to by it on the 360 and all but the DMC fan base lives with its sony fans. I am pretty positive that the Sony version will out sell the 360 version just based off of the demographic...just think about it. The omnimusha series did well on the PS2 and horrible when it came to the X-Box. I think that once Capcom sees how the sales compare to both systems, then they will decide to make DMC 5 if there is one a Sony exclusive. Thats just what I think real talk.

I was never a fan of the original, and never picked up the sequels. Too much button mashing, not enough variation in gameplay. Did the follow ups improve at all? Or is this just going to be more of the same looking REEEEEALY pretty?mindworm22

my advice to you it learn how to play the game, don't button mash. Remember dmc is not a button masher.

It's just got so many variety in moves and combo moves it takes away from that. It is more as a Tekken 5 control scheme put into whatever genre (Platformer adventure?) DMC is. Your constantly aiming your joystick and hitting buttons in certain sequences.

If this is considered to you a button smasher... Everything should be that's not an RPG. FPS you constantly "bash" the shooter button.

Understood.  I'll probably rent or borrow before doing anything with this one.  I never found the need to learn sequences the first time I played since I could simply run at someone and either jump and slice or multi-slice someone to ittybittybits.  Yeah, I figured out some of the special moves, but overall the gameplay didn't really grab me.  I know there are legions of fans, so i'm glad things are looking strong for them.

Better games on the PS3 is better for us all, even if some aren't up my alley...
