Speaking with Newsweek's N'Gai Croal, SCEA Phil Harrison talked about how Insomniac's alternate time-line WWII FPS, Resistance: Fall of Man would be receiving additional content starting this April, and potentially a sequel as well depending on the longevity of the game. The downloadable content, according to Harrison, will extend the current story of Resistance while adding new locations to the game. We imagine that this includes new multiplayer maps as well. Now if this content is well received -- and we don't know how much this additional content will cost -- Harrison says it'll "keep the engagement with the game going between now and should there be a sequel at some point in the future."
Given that Halo players have gotten free map packs in the past, I would hope that the first real map pack that Playstation users get, would be free. Of course, where's the money in that for Sony or Isomniac right?
We'll most likely the playable SP story content will be for purchase (well, duh) but I think the first map pack maybe free then they'll charge for others from there on out. Men, this gen is going to rule!

Well that's your prerogative but those you really loved the story like myself, wouldn't mind at all paying something like $6.99 - $9.99 for more story content.
I'll pay for extra stuff, right now its the only ps3 game I own, but its been worth it. I can't count how many hours I've spent online, FOR FREE, playing this game. Bring it on, I'll pay for it.

Well that's your prerogative but those you really loved the story like myself, wouldn't mind at all paying something like $6.99 - $9.99 for more story content. hey i loved the story too, but i'm sick of microtransactions, i would have payed 100 bucks for the game if it had everything, i find having to pay fees like that annoying, and most of the time it's only small things, if i have to pay 1/7-1/6 of the price of the game then i expect 1/7-1/6 to be added to the game, and most of the time thats not the case

The map packs actually weren't free untill a couple months after they were released. I paid for mine.
