No link or anything, i went into GameStop to reserve the Dead Space 2 CE, and i remembered to ask about GT5's new release date and the employee says Jan 1st, and it looks like it will change to a later date.

IDK if this is old news or anything, but dayum. If there is truth to this news, that is beat.

All we know is late this year or early next.

For the business part of it, they will release it around Christmas, mark my words.

I've never been bored by a GT game.

It will definitely come out this year, they can't afford to miss Christmas.

They need to release before Dec 25. They need to start making up al of the $60+ million they spent on the game. The only way to do that is to have the release before Christmas.

No offense to Joker for working there, but don't trust GameStop... they want your pre-order money, especially for a game like GT5. Essentially if you pre-order a game, you are giving that pre-order money to the corporation as an interest-free loan. So all of the people who are giving money over for GT5 are paying into GameStop's game, if you will. The longer the game is delayed, the longer they have your money (even $5) to use, interest-free.

GT5 won't sell out, everyone in the world wants it so they're gonna print PLENTY of them - When they finally get around to it. But GameStop is PLENTY happy about the game getting postponed... every broken ship date means more interest-free money for them.

No offense to Joker for working there, but don't trust GameStop... they want your pre-order money, especially for a game like GT5. Essentially if you pre-order a game, you are giving that pre-order money to the corporation as an interest-free loan. Fuggirty, thanks for the tip, Joker... I will be going in and asking for my upgrade (just went in and hunted down a cheap copy of "Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising" in defiance of MoH and CoD LoL! Got it for $15 - HOO-ahhhh!) and they did not offer to jump me into the new GameStop Gang elite... I feel slighted, for all the used games I haul out of there so that they don't have to inventory 'em...

... But I really DO purchase a lot of old, used games for other consoles... there's something really sweet about getting the entire back catalogue of Metal Gear games (1-3) for under $20us. I've been going back and buying all the games I missed out on at their launch for being such a broke joke.

But again, thanks for tipping me to that new tier of rewards card... I'll make that sucker pay off, for sure.

BTW - ""Flashpoint" is NOT for the timid OR the Rambos... that game is HARD! Take that, FPS fans of today!

But yeah, I'll probably get the maxi-upgrade. I buy a lot of the $2.99-$10 used stuff often. Got my eye on some PSP CAPCOM collections...
