I'm here! :P
It's looking as good as ever. Heavy Rain is my most anticipated game right now.
I love this story, it looks like it'll be the most emotional so far. I do think the new guy (I can't remember his name) looks similar to Norman Jayden though, which is fine but I feel they should have more of a contrast in characters - not just in personality and story, but also physically.
Im confused, it look like that mom died but the dude is the one who jumped in front of the car. emorainboFrom the scene of him alone in the apartment with his other son, I think the kid dies and maybe they separate due to the emotional consequences? If his wife died I'm sure he would have stayed in that beautiful house :P

He has two kids. One died. his wife probably left him.
Can't wait for release.
The character looks like he's in a depression after his kid got hit by the car.
He probably turned to drugs and alcohol.
Also, I recall in the gameplay video at E3 the FBI agent was using some kind of drug, could this character be using it too?
I doubt it. The fourth character is called Scott Shelby. At 0:43 you can see the driver is a woman. Unless he is a cross dresser....Does anyone else think the car driver is going to be a character?

Okay, I'm making a prediction of the story from what we I saw in trailer (X=character in trailer)
X had the perfect life, 2 kids, a beautiful wife, and a dream home, :D
but all that changed in one second,
X's son was hit by a car, he didn't save him, his wife was furious, she left him and took the house.:o
Now X is going through a depression, he has to do what's best for his other son, let him live with his mother.
But when the son goes missing, he's going to save the only thing he has left.
He has to get the Origami Killer and save his son. 8)
Hehe, smiley faces makes everything better.
Edit-his wife could have also left him because the kids were really the only thing keeping their marriage together. (1 of them dies, she's mad, get's custody.)
Sounds spot on. I'm seriously getting more and more hyped for this game each day. I think I'm going to have to play Fahrenheit again to cool down :POkay, I'm making a prediction of the story from what we I saw in trailer (X=character in trailer)

Yea it has....but we're waiting for it also!!It's been posted before. I can't wait for this game!

The kid running towards his dad from the other side of the street has me to believe that maybe X allowed the kid to cross the street or go to a store across the street. The wife probably didnt want him to go but dad convinced her the boy was old enough, then the boy dies and wife is forever mad at her ex.Okay, I'm making a prediction of the story from what we I saw in trailer (X=character in trailer)

Hmm I've been looking forward to this game but the fact the if you die you're dead kinda sucks cuz I'm slow with the quick button pressing. I'd lol if i get all the way to the end and then die with all the characters
I think it would be pretty cool if one of the playable characters they had was actually The Origami Killer.
then there would b no story at all :oI think it would be pretty cool if one of the playable characters they had was actually The Origami Killer.

It could happen I suppose. It could turn out to be a different character each time depending how you play, but I can't see how it would work unless multiple personality disorder was involved. Or they could pull a fahrenheit and make it completely unpredictable....I think it would be pretty cool if one of the playable characters they had was actually The Origami Killer.

I think that would be the introduction of the character, i think the wife will play a later part though of life and death.that 'car death scene' probably has a choice moment, i think there's multiple decision but i rather think two. you could stand and watch someone die, or make a move... one move and the story could make a huge difference, what i'm saying is this game probably has a lot of replayable.
this new trailer finally show something intense, the graphic and music in this trailer... i'm very impressed! the best trailer i've seen for a very long time...

Also, I've never played Indigo Prophecy but I have seen a part where the main character (Lucas) sees that a kid is about to fall in some frozen thing of water, you can save him but get noticed by the police (but they let you get away) or you can let him die and not get any attention.
Sounds similar to Heavy Rain.

I think that would be the introduction of the character, i think the wife will play a later part though of life and death. It is the start of his story, if you read the profile on IGN its that accident that leads his life to spiral out of control, his wife leaves him and he is left with his one son. Its not a choice, the kid cant be saved, then he gets caught in the Origami Killer stuff. I actually posted all this stuff yesterday, but the topic was buried under all the "So what do you think of the slim" and the "I'm going to go pick up my PS3' nonsensical topics. Well like I said in that topic, its good to see a game actually tackle themes that only an adult could understand, its a rare game that the word Mature on the box actually means Mature.Fahrenheit sometimes punishes you for making what seems to be the right decision. And I loved it for it.Also, I've never played Indigo Prophecy but I have seen a part where the main character (Lucas) sees that a kid is about to fall in some frozen thing of water, you can save him but get noticed by the police (but they let you get away) or you can let him die and not get any attention.

It really brings up the question of what is REALLY the right thing to do in the long run. None of that Karma stuff that's in so many other games. In Fahrenheit it's more along the lines of - save a person, get arrested and never get to know what is happening and regret your actions for it, or walk away and let the person die so you can discover the truth behind everything but forever regret not saving their life. whatever you decide, you kind of lose one way or another.
If Heavy Rain will be anything like this, it's another reason why it will be an incredible experience.

I think it would be kind of cool just to be inside of his head. And I agree that the character would probably have to be schizophrenic or something for it to work but I think it would be pretty cool. Or who knows, maybe the devs are one step ahead of me and one of the characters actually does turn out to be the killer.
