New Lair video, the plot is looking really fantastic!

Yea it will probably get 8 or 8.5 no higher.The graphics look gorgeous, but the gameplay to me looks a bit bland and repetitive.You can only kill people with dragons so many times before it get boring.lolGaMiNg_iS_GoOd

if you get bored then go by one of the dragons jump on em, kill its rider then stab the dragon in the eye and jump off so that your dragon can cath you in mid-air, get your dragon to knock other dragons outta the air, bite their tails or wings off, do some dragon on dragon combat in the air, get the dragon to swoop down and take out one of a dragon riders while you cut the dragon's skull open.if you want go fighta couple of rhinos, and all of those other ugly land creatuers, go andrip their heads off.Or just go down and land on the ground and ram some humans, btch smack em, set them on fire and watch the soldiers burn to death, if you want order your dragon to eat a soldier or two. theres alot of other stuff you can do but i dont know all of them, but it seems kinda fun imo, and not that repetitive but then again isnt every repetive after a while of play where you just wanna take a break from it.

Everyone is seriously underestimating this game. You also should remember who made the game and what they've done in the past.

And they made this game on their own. With Lair, they have Sony's support and a much more powerful console.

The guy has probably only seen a couple gameplay videos, we'll just have to wait for the finished product.

GS will absolutely tear this game a new one for not having any modes/gameplay variety.

Keep in mind that 8 is considered very good/great, thus negating your "total crap" comment. If you're going to claim something is crap have the decency to back it up with a score you think reflects it and a darn good reason why.

Personally, from the way all the sites rave about the flight mechanics, I'd imagine it will get around an 8 or 9. It won't get a perfect score...as good as it is, it's not that good from the sound/look of it but it's going to be one heck ofa game and a major player for a few months at least.

It looks to be drawing a lot of paralells with the modern world. You can also go further into the site for more on Lair. This is one of my most anticipated games in PS3's lineup. I don't see why everyone sees this as repetitive. Was flying around in Rogue Leader repetitive? No, and in Lair you're doing more than just flying around and shooting, it's a much less linear experience.espoac

Well all games are repetitive in one way or the other, Lair imo looks great graphically but nothing else really jumps out at you.

The video is a cutscene, most likely from the opening of the game. We're in a auditorium, possibly a church, and get introduced to 4 of the main characters (Talon, Rohn, Devon -i think he said, and Logan), two of whom seem fairly close. An attack is made on the building and the flight commander/general Talon orders the men to the stables, where we get to see a bit of the bond between dragon and rider. The squad is told of where to find the attackers and that they need to bring their own blades back dull (implying kill 'em all).

This brief description does nothing to describe the visuals. My only nitpick is the shoulder bend for the priest/speaker giving the speech. The rest of the characters seem well rigged and animated.

Guys, I feel like a fool for asking this, but I only have 56k. Can someone tell me what the video is like. I've seen all of the gameplay videos and interviews, is it basically just a compilation of those?Erik729
