New Metal Gear Solid in development!

Once again providing confirmation that Metal Gear Solid didn't end at part 4, Konami has posted a job listing at a Japanese recruitment site seeking staff for new Metal Gear projects.

Posted on Friday, the job listing states that Konami is hiring a large number of staff for "new developments" in the Metal Gear series. The listing makes mention of both mobile and consumer entries (consumer refers to consoles and portables rather than PC, arcades, and mobile devices).

Metal Gear isn't all Konami is working on, though. The recruitment page also asks for programmers who will work on Winning Eleven, Jikkyou Powerful Pro Baseball, Bemani, new online game content, and pachislot machines.

If you can speak Japanese like Solid Snake in the Japanese version of MGS4, access the recruitment page and see the listing for yourself.

That's exactly what he said for MGS2, MGS3 and MGS4. So don't take him seriously anymore when it comes to "leaving" MGS for his staff. The man is a genius and knows that he just can't leave MGS alone and abandon it. Anyway, Kojima mentioned that he already have 3 concepts for MGS5 and that he is going to wait for his staff to use one of them in order for him to "join" them again.

When they announced MGS4, they said the same thing, I remember them hiring people at TGS and one of them was Ryan Payton.

the fans voted, they want more, BUT they want a new fresh story with new characters but still following the storyline of MGS4 as in the fall of The Patriots, the aftermath.I want that and many want this to happen aswell.

Well Kojima always managed to give us a masterpiece so I can't see why he would fail now. He already got 3 concepts for MGS5. Let's wait and see what they got for us first.

I want them to make a Metal Gear game based on Ocelot in his younger years. Like what he was exactly doing in Snake Eater and post - Portable Ops.

Lets just hope Kojima wants to make another MGS game.

Pointless. I don't care about Ocelot's younger years. I want a new fresh story that starts right after the fall of The Patriots.

That is true. I'd like him to take the stealth genre to the next level. Stealth in the open world, tight streets and security zones. Something like Shadow Moses but larger bigger and more detailed.Bring back the Octo-camo, more disguises etc...

I don't know, it was a complete cash-in. And I know the first was much more bleak, but in terms of the story of the movies, the third totally negated there ever being Judgement Day. And nothing cool happened in 3. Does anyone really remember anything aside from the terminator getting stuck to the particle accelerator?

Anyway, I just thought MGS4 was done so well, and I don't want crap to be thrown into the fourth game or other games that wasn't really there, by way of a fifth Metal Gear. The story was amazing and needs no alterations. The ending of four was a happy one, as it should have been; the country becomes free again, I don't want it to mysteriously go down the **itter for no reason except Konami wanting money.

Remember that MGS4 ended the storyline of the legendary hero Solid Snake. However, the story itself is still WIDELY open for sequels since The Patriots are now gone and defeated. There is an aftermath for every storyline, why not continue with an aftermath by introducing new characters with old characters and a new location, new features, new story, and maybe a new hero.There are many many possibilities.The ending of MGS4 opened new doors for sequels.
