New Patch for COD4 is on way!

I'm a member of the Gamer Advisory Panel at Playstation.com, and I just read a post that a new patch for COD4 is coming soon (TBA) probably in March. Among the list of things that the patch will clear up are:

*New Kill Cams - Get the story from the Claymore's point of view!

*New Spectating Cam - Control the camera from 3rd person view, or go 1st person view of the John Malkovich soldier!

*Mute - Cast Silence on those annoying singers and B S er's by highlighting and clicking their name on the Lobby screen!

* Host Migration - Sick of starting a game then leaving it because that @$$#*!e of a host left as soon as the match began. No worries, if the current host leaves, his duties as a host are put on someone else's shoulders and the game continues!

*Better Sniping and ACOG Scope - Hate that jumping ACOG scope, or missing on a sniper shot when you know that, that MFs brains should be all over the wall! These too will be fixed.

I've also heard that new DLC will be available sometime in March, the majority of which will be more maps, I hope they have a good Sniper Level!

Which of these 5 fixes/add-ons do you like the best/least?

Yea muting and host migration seem to be the best, cuz when your owning a horrible team then the host leaves cuz he sucks...thats no fun :P

And I always find someone annoying with a mic...

yea the knife lung is messed up...the dude is like 10 feet away and im drilling him wit bullets and they **** have elastic arms or something and knife me...i mean i have even done it to ppl and sometimes i surprise myself...i just press r3 on accident and bam i knife the guy from across the map (exaggeration) but like really far away from me a couple feet..enough that i shouldnt be able to kill him...like my camera just moves so fast i cant see how i even knifed him from that distance

Haha that happened to me too when I accidently pressed it in...I do that a lot and usually doesnt result in me killing him :P I cant get 3 knife kills when I try to get that achievement, but when I just play normal and dont think about it I get alot of knife kills :(

I agree, about the knife thing. They need to fix it. I've had problems with it myself. One time someone tried to knife me and I pushed the crouch button and dodged their knife and killed them! Even though they should have knifed me I'm gald I learned to dodge knife attacks by going into the crouch position at the right time.

The patch will be FREE via PSN, the new Maps will cost something.

I hope the new maps will be available offline as well, cause right now there are fun levels online that I would like to play some of my friends spit-screen on but can't.zatoninja

there are a few maps that aren't available in splitscreen...which is too bad.

Also, i wish they would fix the LAN games so they could be splitscreen, but I'm not holding my breath

what exactly do you mean? i thought u can play the same online maps offline?

You can't play Overgrown, District, Strike, Bloc, or Ambush offline.

I hope they add something for when you go Prestige. Cause right now, I don't think I'll ever go prestige. It's that I work my self all the way up to level 55 and complete all of the weapon challanges, and for my reward...

For new perks I hope they add one that makes you throw back grenades faster because I'm sick of dying because my guy picks up a grenade notices there isn't a pin then has to get a perfect grip then throw it.whackedjob213
