New PS3 Owner, any thing I should know to start off?

I bought the MGS4 bundle.

I plan to get Resistance 1 (when it comes to Greatest hits) and R2. Little big Planet, Fallout 3 Killzone 2 and InFamous.

What games do you plan to get? Should I avoid any of the above?

well what can i say. welcome to the ps3 community. it's a good choice to get mgs4 bundle. honestly i dont think that you need resistance 1 now cuz resistance 2 is coming out. but its ur choice. i gutta say it's an amazing game tho. i think that another game that u should check out is call of duty 4. its pretty sick.

You have a good game lineup planned for yourself there. I would suggest (unless you're not into it) looking into some racing games too. GT5P if you're a simulator fan, or GRID if you're more casual in racing.

yea i agree with you man. so many new ps3 gamers just don't do enough research and end up asking dumb questions such as.... how do you turn on the ps3? .... how do you put in a disk? ..... what games should i get?....

Thanks guys. I suppose a lot of new people do not know what they like especially if they are new to consoles but at least for the ones that are using this site to post in the forums "IDK what to get". I really don't know what to say to them.

I do not really like racing games I always try to get myself to play one at a friends house and it is always like wow great but then the repetitiveness kicks in.

I'll look into CoD4 but what about the next CoD?

nah i think he shud get RFOM 1 because it will prepare him for 2's storyline and introduce him to the game beforehand, its a long time before RFOM 2 comes out in November...

MGS4 bundle was a very good start. Here are some games to keep you busy, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Uncharted, COD4, GTA4, Devil May Cry 4, Resistance 1, Folklore, Assassins Creed, Rainbow Six Vegas, Rockband and much more coming out.

I got my PS3 mgs 4 bundle yesterday too xD

today i just bought Assassin creed its amazing and its pretty interesting and fun.

The game you should get are: Devil may cry 4,some RPG Games,if you want to play for a long time and never stop doing the same thing: Oblivion IV elder scrolls

COD 4 its burned out but its still good.

I dont know its your choice, but these are my recommendations
