Its difficulty depends on how you approach the game. If you treat it like a God of War hack and slash, you're gonna get your ass handed to you in pieces. If you can be patient and learn from your mistakes, it presents a perfectly designed challenge.

My brother really enjoyed it but he said the fact you can get randomnly ganked while fighting a boss by another player can interfere with the gameplay. I still need to try it.

I just got a PS3 too, bought MGS4 for $18 but I'm Gamefly-ing a bunch of new games soon :)
