New PS3 Owner...What to have/play?

hey guys just got a ps3 and im new to the whole PS expierence, i skipped the ps2 so im wondering to have the most with this machine what games should i get. i will say that im tired of the whole shooter expierence i have far cry 2 for my 360 and its only about 5 hours in becuase no matter which shooter it is they all get repetative and im not one for the online. so what games yall recomend??

i will list the games in my collection that i really enjoyed, they are in the order i got them so the top ones are older..

Pick a couple from that and you will be fine lol. I would suggest COD 4 for multi player if thats what you like, It is awesome, and quite addicting!!!

and later you should get god of war 3 and infamous

if your looking for something thats not another shooting game, and an exclusive for the ps3, then deffinately littlebigplanet. Its funny, very creative, addictive, and one of the best ps3 games out there. It beats anything. Theres just so much fun to be had on it. Trust me. You won't be disappointed. :D

The 3 titles that are a must: Uncharted, Killzone 2, and Metal Gear Solid 4.

You need Valkyria Chronicles. That game is like a cool glass of water in the deadliest of desserts.

ok, i'm not sure if you would classify these games as shooters, more like adventures in which you can shoot, but are definite must-haves: Uncharted and MGS4.

if you want to go the rpg route... well you got a 360, so you can play most of the best ones that are already out. I would recommend Disgaea 3 if you like grinding, leveling up, and all of the neat stuff (which i like :) ), or Valk. Chronicles if you want a unique rpgs experience; all of these games have free demos up on psn, except dis3, so you should definitely give all of these games a test run before committing.

also inFamous is coming out later this month; so far it's been getting high scores fom 3 IGN sources, if you care about reviews and/or scores and such.
