New PS3 whats up with my Hard Drive Space

I just got it... it has a max of 74 Gigs, but im down to 58/74 already, all I've done is Start up the PS3, Update, Save 2 Games( DMC4 and Asassins Creed) and made a Playstation network account... Should i format the hard drive?

No dont format, the game data and the FW installs take up a lot

I think it is all system files and installs...When I replaced my hard drive a fair chunk was taken up...

Yeah there are game data installs to the hard drive to decrease load times. And dont format unless your data is backed up or bye bye data :P
