personally

i enjoy the DS way more than the PSP, ive played both and i love the DS. witht the new psp coming out im thinking about buying it.

i still dont know, maybe if sony stops being money hungry and lowers their merchandises prices to at least almost match the ds price, i might get it. PSP has a decent library of games but not good enough. sonys beenn effing up lately. i still love sony over microsoft, but im a gamer and i want to spend as least as possible to get something, im also cheap hahaha, but maybe if they lower the price ill prolly get it, i mean they do have MGS on there, the new psp looks nice, nothing different it just looks better, i still dont know if its going to be worth it. im assuming many psp owners wont be running to the stores to get one of these. unless their dumb and just want to be wasting money.

Dude, I don't think Sony makes any money off the PSP hardware anymore. Actually I bet they lose money per psp sold. Sony loses $200 everytime a PS3 is sold, so why not psp? Sony makes their money back and then profits through software.

and really, $169 is not a bad price considering what you can do with the PSP. If all you want to do is play games, then stick with your DS, more power to ya. I think the psp pricing is absolutely fine, expecially considering the bundles you can get with it if you shop around.

I own the original PSP, and I am gonna run out and pick up one of the new slim ones the first day it's out.
I don't understand how ppl can say that the new psp doesn't have enough changes to be priced the way it is. Look at what you're getting: Thinner, lighter, better feeling buttons and d-pad, VIDEO OUT, better UMD slot mechanism, different colors, smaller and equally efficient battery, etc.

what more can ppl want?

is not because sony is money hungry, the psp is a far more technology advance then the ds, and it only cost $169.99.

maybe its cuzz ive owned a ds for so long, but ever since ive had my psone all ive ever wanted in a gaming system, is games,

i the only reason i would buy a psp is for some games that arent on the ds but i think its just going to be sitting on my shelf, i cant carry around 2 systems, i have something for music, which also plays movies, sony needs to start thinking about gaming again, their thinkning too much about "entertainment" i mean it is an "entertainment" system but they need to start thinking about gamers again, maybe this psp will do better than the one thats out right now but it wont compare to how the ds is doing, yea i agree 169 isnt a bad price i forgot it wasnt 200 anymore, i mean from the start ds has had an advantage, ive always been a sony fan, but i just never had any interest in the psp. maybe its just me but i think this is a step forward for sony

I don't think any consoles made from this generation forth will "only play games". All three big game consoles do more than just play games now, even the Wii (online browsing through opera, news, etc.).

I think the only current gaming platform that is only plays games is the DS, so in that respect, you're right.

You should give the PSP a chance, it has some pretty great games in it's relatively small library, and some cool games are coming out later this year.

i prolly will buy the psp, when i have sspare money lying around, i wasnt trying to make this thread into a ds vs psp thread just wanted to know if its going to be worth getting. personally i dont see why a company cant make a straight gaming system, it would improve alot in systems, but i guess if systems have web browsing and music and etc their just trying to make people lazier, ide rather get up and use my computer to play music hahaha. but thats just me well i just wanted to know if i should get this thing or not

so this thread is pretty useless now aahaha

Jeez yayyfood if you don't like the psp and think that you wouldn't use it if you got one, then don't get one, it's as simple as that, i fail to see what the problem is.
